Maybe not Brady

Wow, his footwork is amazing. He seems to not look at the entire field though. I'm not a huge fan of Brady Quinn because he has bouts of inaccuracy.

With the rumors of the raiders taking Calvin Johnson I would love to see the phins move to number 2 and take Jamarcus Russell!!

I too am part of the Just Say No to Quinn bandwagon. I think that Drew Stanton could be the long term answer for the Dolphins. The only question that remains is will he be there when we draft.

Besides Drew Stanton led the biggest comeback in NCAA history. That shows that he doesn't get rattled in the face of adversity and that he is a true leader in the huddle and guys believe in him. All Brady Quinn did was never beat USC or win a bowl game.

funny you say that ..... some guy named peyton manning had similar problems to quinn.and everyone knows how peyton turned out:wink:

now if only stanton had the head and composure of a good QB. we might be on to something.

Jared Zabransky this year and Colt Brennan next year.

This year's 1st round pick needs to be secondary addition, then fill up the OL with talent.

do you think we will be that bad next year ? cuz i think brennan will be first qb taken next year and prob in the top 5 but thats just my opinion

Jared Zabransky = Jay Feidler I would rather have Kolb

I never wanted Quinn he is very overrated and won't do much in the NFL.

The reason Quinn never won a bowl game and USC is because the ND defense plain out sucked. Did you see him play against USC 2 years ago. He almost single handely won that. If the defense wasn't playing like swiss cheese they would of won that game. Stanton is nothing special. Did you see him play against ND this year. Now that was a choke job.

If and almost... interesting choice of words.

So few of us have seen BQ play. If only there were a major network that became complete and total Notre Dame homers.

As for Stanton, I am not impressed. He IMO won't be as good as Smoker who came out a few years ago. Last I checked, Smoker was the #3 QB for St Louis.

Wow this a joke. Drew Stanton over Brady Quinn because of a highlight reel. Brady Quinn would be a boon for the Dolphins if they could get him (from a huge Daunte fan). Drew Stanton, Trent Edwards, and Kevin Kolb sorry but none of those guys impress me. Yes they had poor teams but so did Jay Cutler and he still put up a double TD to INT ratio. The first two did not and Kolb played against very mediocre competition. If anybody stepped up atleast once against the big boys it is Troy Smith, even though he got shalacked by Florida (when you rise up to the occasion against your rival I consider that a huge sign of ability, ie. Michigan game).

Any QB, even high schoolers, have good looking highlight reels. There could possibly be a Ray Lucas highlight film, though it would just have him burning us a lot of times.

Stanton, Edwards, and Kolb are pretty much like all of those other non-1st/2nd round QB's that wash out (Josh Heupel anyone?). Only reason Cutler stood out is because he performed well despite a bad team. Those 3 QB's performed just like their bad teams.

I noticed the same thing. He has that great bounce forward step(forgot what it's actually called) that Walsh was describing a few weeks ago on NFL Network while teaching the mechanics of being a successful QB with Joe Montana.

The kid is also a baller. Real tough and real smart. You see those few option plays near the goaline? He played it to perfection. Could have won an Oscar for the performance he put on the DE/OLB. He also reacts very well. The moment he see's daylight BOOM! No hesitation. Someone better teach him how to slide though. He'll get killed going head first against the big boys.

Having said that, I wouldn't pass over Brady Quinn at 9 even if I was guaranteed Stanton at 40. Brady Quinn just has too much of an upside. The kid has everything physically and mentally that you look for in a QB.

I like Stanton aswell though and would be thrilled to have him at 40. Brady Quinn at 9, as much as I'm praying, is just not going to happen.

I predicted Quinn going at 2 in my top 16 mock earlier on this year and it looks like I might just be right either with Detroit taking him or scaring Cleveland enough to make them move up.

Peyton atleast beat a good team or 2 in the SEC...Quinn's poop.
