Im just thinkin that over the last 2 maybe 3 years anyways (oh heck, probably sice Marino left) we really never have gotten any respect, other than some for our defense. Most of the time K.C. always got respect when talked about on sports center and all the other shows. So its just encouraging that maybe now, especially if we start off winning, which I think we definitely can now, that we will be respected when talked about by most of the so called sports announcers that we've grown to hate over the years cuz the way they have been ****ting on especially our offense.. Thats all..Just cant wait for some respect finally!!! NOW C'MON LETS GET PUMPED UP CUZ WE COULD BE BACK TO BEING THE POWERFUL ****ING MIAMI DOLPHINS AGAIN YEAH!!!! ...Too much?..I hope not.

Yeh. But, my guess is the "new" spin will be that Green is old and Miami always brings in old or career backup type QBs. I dont know, I can just see that hapening.

respect wont be there until we start winning games. Theres no respect for Porter, Our Draft and Green until we win games. Period.

I honestly don't care about respect.

I want results.

I want other teams to be desperate in the 4th quarter when we're up 24-13 instead of down 13-10.

I want our safeties and cornerbacks to be able to sit back and ball hawk every once in awhile instead of having to worry about coming up to assist on running plays every single down of every single quarter.

I want our safety valve outlet passes to ACTUALLY MAKE IT TO THE SAFETY VALVE.

I want other teams to fear an organized, well-run offense, and know that we're not going to beat ourselves anymore.

I want to sneak the heck up on the AFC East this year, and surprise the ever-loving #### out of the NFL.

I think I'm gonna get what I want this year.

(I told you I was psyched.)

Well, if you need respect to be a fan, fine...what we need is wins...the more W's in that column, the more 'respect' you'll see.

Some "Experts" picked you for the SB last year, how much more respect do you want? especially considering you haven't seen a playoff game in over 5 years. Green was awful last year and is getting old, I think he's a great pickup to tutor Beck for the future but I'll be very surprised if you do anything w/ him as your starter.

:yeahthat:

Some people on this site want the Dolphins to get respect simply for stepping onto the field. How about they earn a playoff berth first? How about they win a playoff game (something that hasn't happened since the Clinton administration)?

Ask yourself why the Cardinals, Lions, Browns, etc. don't get any respect and then you'll realize why the Dolphins don't get any either. A team that hasn't been to the playoffs since 2001, who finished 6-10 last year, who brought in a new and unproven coach and who's relying on an ancient QB as a replacement for the defective one they spent a 2nd round pick for doesn't deserve anyone's automatic respect. They need to earn it.

Let's earn respect before we get it, w/o being upset that nobody is predicting we win the SB. I think we are a lot better off, going into this year under the radar anyway. Let everyone pump the Pats and jets up.

Interestingly, many of these same experts picked the Jets to be one of the worst teams in football. Now you've got everyone using the term "Mangenius."

Now everyone's predicting Green and the Fins to flop. Shows what everyone knows. :)

id love to win but we still have to go through the pats.
