They have their training camp at a remote spot in West Virginia that is absolutely beautiful. Not just a neat looking place but their players and coaches were looking forward to practicing in a cooler environment and not in such humid conditions. By the looks of our players against the Ravens it appeared that we were dead legged and drained. Maybe practicing in cooler weather in Philly our players will be rejuvenated. And I'm not saying we shouldn't practice in it at all because we need to practice some in it because we'll be playing in it at our stadium for the first 2 months of the season but I think we should practice fewer days in that ungodly stuff.

I've always been of the mindset that being used to the heat gave us a distinct advantage early in the season. We may have dead legs now but will be in way better shape come week 1.

Agreed 100%

If you are not from here there is no way you can prepare for the heat and humidity. Practicing it in gives you a serious advantage that will pay off.

I'd be interested to see if there is any place we can train that would help us have less injuries. I doubt the temperature of humidity has much to do with it ... but man, we need to find a solution. At a minimum we should be developing exercises for the offseason that help build up full range of motion protection for joints. Things like a torn bicep shouldn't really be happening considering how much money we put into our sports medicine and sports science side of things. Clearly we're doing something wrong, because it seems unlikely we could just be this unlucky so often. Maybe it's just not drafting durable players, or our approach to "supplements" is somehow different than most of the other teams ... but we need to figure it out.

Yep let's be a team that plays in the heat half the season but move our camp and practices to some climate controlled area so when we do play at home we are even with the visiting team......

Meanwhile BB has the Pats running up hills all summer and camp/practices to maintain their energy every quarter of every game each season into the playoffs. When the Texans start winning playoff games and their division on a regular basis, then let's talk about jokingly taking their ideas and concepts to apply to our team.

I said we should practice less in the heat and humidity. We need to break it up and use the bubble for more practices and get the players out of the heat. But yes we still need to grind in the heat also but just less of it.

We do have an indoor practice facility as well. I'm sure not as hot as outside.

I'd tell you what would be nice is having our home field advantage back. WTF happened to division games earlier in the schedule so it's 100+ degrees? ****in' NFL.

I'm a Tennessee Titan fan now...sort of....

Because they have worked through the draft and made a team I love. Running the ball with power backs and a great OL

We have the Nick Saban Memorial Bubble and we still practice out in the heat.

You don't baby these men, they can handle the heat & humidity as long as they stay properly hydrated.

It must be different where I live, right around 3 pm to 6 pm is when it's the hottest.

I can't recall the injuries Miami had last training camp, can anyone else?

There were few injuries last year, just some strains. Our injuries this year had little to do with conditioning more just bad luck. RT made the wrong choice should have had is leg repaired instead of rehabbed, our rookie linebacker just was at the wrong place at the wrong time. Larsen and Lippitt its hard to tell. I think loosing RT and rookie LB is what really magnified the injury situation
