According to Rotoworld: NFL.com's Mike Lombardi reports that the Rams have offered Brian Schottnheimer their offensive coordinator position, and Schottenheimer "will accept the position."
Maybe we dodged a bullet here folks. Schottenheimer was really bad with the Jets. Another boring offense. My hope was that if we got Fisher he would adapt to the "new NFL" and get more of an open offensive attack here. I don't think that's going to happen with Schottenheimer. Maybe it works out, but I don't like the hire....his first move with the Rams.

now you know that's interesting...cause shotty sucks frankly...so i'm glad he's not here...it took him after 3 years even half the season to realize that his qb who is spotty at best with his accuracy can not be the star of the show in new york...that they had to go back to ground and pound and play action...but at the same time and i can absolutely vouge for this no matter what his completion numbers to date are in st louis sam bradford throws the ball with high accuracy and placement all over the field so maybe shotty will work with them...a qb who actually isn't so scatter shot

wow, if schotty wanted to prove to everyone hes not as bad as people think he is, he chose the wrong team to go to. the rams have one of the ugliest offenses i have seen. they can make the jaguars offense look good at times, which is very hard to do.

Like Daboll's offense has been so productive. Let me see last three years ranked 32,29 and 22 while schotty ranked 25,11, and 20. All these teams dont keep interviewing Schotty because he is awful

I don't like Daboll either. Simply saying that I think if we hired Fisher and his first move was to bring in Schotty as the OC a lot of fin fans would be upset.

i'll take daboll over shotty...i think that dudes garbage...he still thinks the wildcat will work...moron...but like i said sam bradfords ball placement is some of the best i've ever seen so if he decides to try and ride on sam bradford at least the ball won't be always off like with sanchez who would drive me crazy if i was coaching him

Baby Schotty is **** on a stick. So is Sanchez but it's easy for the Schotty defenders to deflect by blaming him, just as the Henning defenders played the Henne card. Same difference. Even without the schotty dynamic, IMO we dodged a major bullet by a)not committing to a HC who has had winning seasons 35% of the time, finished 3rd and 4th the last 2 years going 14-18 (we could have just kept Tony if that was the case) and made control demands his performance didn't justify.

Baby Schotty is just icing on the cake when it comes to reinforcement that indeed we did sidestep a probable near future of extended mediocrity.

I think Brian Schottenheimer is a little better than he's given credit for by Jets fans (and some around here), but he's really not very good and there's no question I feel a lot better about our head coaching search right now. I'm really starting to think we did dodge that bullet.

Im sure Cleveland fans were laughing when we hired Daboll unfortunately thier offense was basically the same although hills was hurt still sucked. Last year we said anybody could do better than Henning and yet Dabolls' offense was ranked lower than Henning's was last year so you never know. People hate who they want to hate for their own reasons some rational some irrational

I did not want Jeff Fisher as I was hoping we would keep Nolan and hire an aggressive offensive mind like Chudzinski, but a staff consisiting of Fisher - Schott - Greg Williams sound superb to me

Still funny how all around the league teams have respect for Schott and interview him yet some think he is the worst ever. Schott was supposed to interview here last time and turned us down. People cant stand Mularkey but he interviewed in Jville who also interviewed Chud and they chose him when he finished the interview

dabolls o was way more intuitive than hennings...i don't care where they ranked...dabolls o allowed reggie bush to run for 1000 yards something i don't think any of us could have realistically envisioned...dabolls o also didn't just run marshall into coverage and barely have any motion in the wrs etc to get off coverage like hennings...

point blank hennings offense sucked

That's cause Cleveland failed to realize they don't have crap on offense at receiver. They traded out of their first pick last year with Atlanta, who took Julio Jones, and then took defense with the next two picks...they pulled an Ireland and took two defensive line players.

Although I predict this year they will take Trent Richardson and Coby Fleener with their two 1st round picks.
