Perspective after the Chiefs: I'll post on my own thread - It's too wild out there for me after a loss. (Joking, I posted elsewhere, but only kinda). I'm a big fan of Coach McD's play design, scheme, and off season ability to micro step by micro step teach the play execution. I think it's the best in the league, and have thought so for many years, way prior to coming here (like in Cleveland and DC). I'm being very specific here, obviously his ability in game to be fast, and manage some things, and maybe play calling (although over criticized imho) is not close to the best in the league. McD's off season work fascinates me.
But this play is hard to execute. It takes (IMHO) more precision and practice. So many of McD's innovative plays are hard to execute for various reasons , requiring extreme precision, timing, and ballroom dance style footwork and positioning. Maybe those plays make the offense completely unstoppable vs poor or mediocre defenses in good weather and turf, but too hard to execute vs the best defenses, or worst conditions. Or in the clutch? I was glad to hear in an early interview Coach kept some of the Chan Gailey playbook - simpler, less innovative, but maybe easier to execute. (Nobody keeps any of the Godsey-Studs stuff).
Just having doubts after a loss, and pondering. I'm still in on McD, Tua, Hill, etc.
