McCown/Pace To Visit Today

I don't want Tears of McClown....but Pace would be sweet.
 
Man we cant let Pace go without a contract. New England is also trying to sign the kid. We need him in here pronto
 
I wonder who are the other FA coming in for visits? Man, we need to sign Pace. To of the players alot of us Dolfans have been wanting are Smiley and Pace. We are half way there
 
Need to make sure Pace doesn't leave town without a deal.

But McClown would give me nightmares......

First disagreement I have with Parcells would be if they signed McCnown, I wonder what othe FA might be coming in for visits.Im hoping Jacob Bell,Maurice Williams and Ernest Wilford are some of them
 
Pace would be a nice addition as long as we don't do a ridiculous contract ....

I'm 'guessing' that it will take something similar to what Smiley just signed for though ...
 
Schefter made sure he pointed it during Total Access FA Preview. He said that Pace is the type of player Parcells loves and he would be surprised if we didn't sign him. Gotta love Schefter look who is coming in for a visit. The other guy he pointed out that we might sign was Volek, but nothing yet.
 
Unless you trade off JT, I only see getting Pace if he moves to ILB, where his size and speed would work well. Otherwise there are too many OLBs, especially if you draft C. Long at #1, though I guess he would be okay at DE for a year or two until Taylor leaves/retires.

I'd take Volek at QB, since he's played enough to be solid. Worse case you bring Green back for cheap and pray Beck stays healthy.
 
McCown is a superb athlete, and maybe ready to truly lead a team. Remember guys like John Elway and Rich Gannon. Always remembered for their Super-Bowls but everyone forgets about how they struggled in their first years in the league.

I lived in Denver in the 80's and John was well known as Smellway, and yah, he stunk it up, year after year, until he matured into the leader that made him a Super-Bowl QB.

Gannon was a mediocre at best QB until he matured and became one of the most accurate QB's of all time in the NFL.

McCown has the "Right Stuff"" ; it may not be wise to to let him go without giving him a reasonable offer.
 
Pace would be an awesome pickup for us. If we sign him, does this mean that we would not be drafting Chris Long if we stayed at #1? Is he primarily a DE, or is he a hybrid player like JT was a couple of years ago?
 
Get Pace and I believe Billy volek is the guy we have our eye on. Maybe McCown pushes the envelope to get Volek.

We get Smiley, Volek, Pace, and then Wilford, I would say we are doing quite nice in Fa without overspending. Then maybe Eugene Wilson at Safety and I say good to go there then go into the draft.
