McDaniel Fired

I freaking hope so. A reputable source mentioned that John Harbaugh would have him starting if he came in. I don't believe it but it still made me shudder imagining another season with him facading as Qb 1.

Grateful that Ross is supposedly putting his foot down with tua. Rightfully so! I can't complain with how Ross is handling this.
If Harbaugh wants Tua to start, i dont want Harbaugh. Proabably not the popular take but thats where im at.

It actually makes a lot of sense.

We are stuck with Tua financially anyway. If Harbaugh wants to try fixing him, have at it. Its not like he is tied to Tua, he will be able to draft his next QB in 27 if things dont work out.

Tua has been effective in the past, under the right circumstances. Maybe Harbaugh will have a plan to fix that pathetic Oline and get some viable big body targets.

I dont really give a **** though, if we land Harbaugh he can do whatever he **** he wants.

This could be the dumbest move by Ross by far if we don't land Harbaugh. No one on the market is better than McDaniel. Vance Joseph? Anthony Weaver? That's an absolute joke
Anybody is better than McMoron! I’m so happy that nerd boy is finally gone! Deal with it!

Ian rapoport is not a credible source, he takes info from players agents if not money to spill their crap. This is tuas agent in full damage control because he knows there is ZERO INTEREST FROM ANY TEAM IN THE NFL IN GETTING TUA EVEN IF CUT FROM THE DOLPHINS

You sound like someone who doesn’t learn lessons.
That’s like saying, because Tua flamed out, you should never take a QB from Alabama ever again. Previous head coaching experience isn’t some great predictor of success. Brian Flores has previous experience, would you like to give him another go? There’s no reason to be any more scared of a guy without previous head coaching experience than someone with it. The important thing is identifying a good candidate.

This is the dumbest post in this thread. This needed to happen. He was never going to last beyond next year. He should’ve never been offered the job from the beginning.
Although I like Harbaugh he’s not the end all and be all. But good for finally dumping McD

ESPN Sources: Dolphins fired head coach Mike McDaniel.

Dolphins owner Stephen Ross met with McDaniel this week to discuss the season. After that meeting and reflection, Ross decided to move on.
Following the 2022 season I wrote here at this forum that McDaniel should be fired and the team should shop Tua for players and, or draft picks. That season revealed neither McD or Tua would be good enough to lead the Dolphins to playoff game victories.

Where this arguments falls apart is when considering the franchise in question. Do first-time head coaches sometimes become highly successful? Of course. Do first-time head coaches hired by incompetent leadership and ownership succeed? Much more unlikely. The Dolphins need a ready-made leader to come in and rebuild this franchise. They don’t need the latest hot-shot coordinator who has never run anything.

So, to extend your comparison, Tua flamed out. Never take a small, injury-prone, athletically- questionable, and injured Alabama QB again. Details matter.

Stefanski can coach circles around McMoron! I said what I said!
Dude, browns averaged 4.3 yards per play the lowest in the whole league with Stefanski calling the plays. Miami was 5.4. In 2024 browns averaged 4.6 the second lowest, even in 2023 when they last made playoffs they were at 4.8 another bottom 5 year. The Browns have been okay at times despite stefanski's awful offense. Rex Ryan was asked about him and he said hes a nice guy lol I think ill take actual nfl guy's words over idiot owners who see a smart ivy league guy who knows how to massage their egos.
