McDaniel Has Managed To Fail Upwards And Earned A Promotion!

He has a crappy QB and no true #1 WR. What you expect? To make the playoffs 3 years in a row?

since we didn't make the playoffs last year, no i did not expect us to make the playoffs three years in a row that would be mathematically impossible. but thanks for playing!

I'm beginning to hate this team...
Strong words but I get it.. wish everyone could see what I saw at camp two years ago for two weeks

fans like me were disgusted, me even more because I know what I’m looking at and how destructive it was gonna be.

Pretty sure I’m right about it not trying to tap myself on the back but I do believe what I saw is all connected to this embarrassment the past two seasons and being mocked by the world

There is an angle in there somewhere as I have absolved Mcdaneil from Tua’s as I believe his actions are all self inflicted

it seems like they made the same mistakes in camp this year. didn't learn. assistant head coach came out and said they need to run camp better

Yeah I saw that, I’ve felt and said there was a correlation between what I saw and our horrible half of season starts, and that kind of corroborated it for me.

Breathe deep into the Lama!

Allow the Dolphins to fade into the sea!

Now hug the nearest mammal!

Feel better!

Not only he is being retained, McDaniel got a promotion.

You read that right. See quote below. If McDaniel is involved in the GM search, he is being given more power. Not only does he not deserve a voice in the process, him being in the room makes it impossible to even have a proper process. How do GM candidates voice concern over who the head coach is and how the team has been built? How does a candidate say they want to do it an entirely different way with McDaniel in the room? How does a candidate say they want the right to fire McDaniel if they so choose and go a different direction at any point in time? Will the good GM candidates even interview here or take the interviews seriously with McDaniel being given this role and the power over the HC's job not being granted to the GM? Setting it up this way also seemingly implies McDaniel is their boss, not the other way around, which it should be.

Only Ross could do something so dumb. There is no way in hell McDaniel should be part of the process, let alone still have a job, not even close. Aikman being involved is a red herring. He clearly could not stop this from happening, and he will only be one voice in a room full of bozo's. If Aikman is smart, he should resign from the committee rather than being associated with this mess.

AWFUL! BOHICA!

"McDaniel revealed he would be part of the search for a new general manager."

Well, well, well.

Here's some silver lining. It's possible that McD had no say in...

- Trading a 1st to move up for Waddle
- Trading a 1st and backing up the Brinks truck for Chubb
- Paying Jalen more than the contract he signed
- Paying Tyreek more than the contract he signed
- Restructuring just about everyone twice
- Drafting _________ (Jonah, Eich, Chop, Grant, Tua, etc)
- Not drafting ________ (endless list)
- Trading picks to move up and draft busts

I can't imagine that all of these things would have happened if there were better check and balances. Lots of bad decisions that we're all Grier. Lots of bad contracts that were all Grier.
I appreciate you as a poster here
And your post has validity

But I don’t care, I’m just glad he was shown the door
Good riddance
