McKINNEY OVER RUDDY

Although veteran Tim Ruddy started at center Sunday night, second-year player Seth McKinney seemed to get the majority of the snaps, particularly in the second half. McKinney was in the game the final two series the Dolphins were on offense, which covered almost the entire fourth quarter.

It would seem that Ruddy left the game in the first quarter, McKinney played in the 2nd Q until the 2 minute mark when Ruddy came back in. Then Ruddy started the 3rd Q and McKinney came in his place for just about all of the 4th Q.

If that is the case we seem to run a LOT better with Seth McKinney in the game.

Yet it looks like its Ruddy being trusted when we need some passing going on like in a 2 minute drill, or the line calls need to be real good for the 2 minute huddle.

Ultimately, the rotation seemed to work out really well tonight. If the other team knows we're in a 2 minute drill they know we're mostly gonna be passing so its not like subbing in Ruddy tips the D off. The rest of the time the other team always knows running is a big part of our game plan, so having McKinney in doesn't give them any special tipoffs.

I originally thought the idea was stupid. If there really is no difference in the snap between the two, hey maybe my mind is changin a bit
