McMillan is in his first NFL camp and while the head is an obvious eye opener the speed and physicality of this level is also opening his eyes, even as the team practices with no pads on. Under the shoulder shells his body is going to really get acclimated to the South Florida heat. Something fellow rookie Cordrea Tankersely found out today when he was taken off the field do to heat exhaustion.

This is exactly why our 1pm time slot in Sept. & Oct. is so critical.

I was floored when Ross requested that advantage be dealt away to the schedule committee just a few years ago. Yeah I get you get more pansy fans in seats but ultimately they're not going to be there anyways if they're not watching a winning product. The elements of early games in the earlier part of the season have got to be something we use in our favor to gain an edge.

To Ross' credit, with the new roof design he has it where in these 1 pm games the roof covers 93% of the fans, and the Dolphins sidelines, while the sun is consistently on the visiting bench with no coverage.

As Ross has gotten his feet wet more as owner of this team, there definitely seems like less of a focus on the red carpet and more focus on winning games. Sure he still loves a good show, but I think we have seem him evolve a bit as well.

I hope this is blatantly obvious to Ross at this point.
