Dolphins second-round pick Raekwon McMillan has been working at middle linebacker during camp.

The Miami Herald's Barry Jackson reports that has been the case for four practices in a row. Miami signed veteran Lawrence Timmons this offseason, but it looks like they will give the rookie the first crack at the middle linebacker job. If McMillan is able to keep his spot, Timmons will likely work on the strong side with Kiko Alonso on the weak side.

HE has been at MLB since OTAs as far as I know. Its either McMillan or Hull on the inside

Love it, if he can turn out to be just a solid Mike that would be incredible value in the middle of round 2.

Love it. There will be growing pains regardless of where he plays. Not only is he a rookie, but he's 20 years old. I'd rather him start off at his more natural position, which is clearly inside.

McMillan is the future. Good to see him thrown in the deep end in Training Camp. Urban Meyer raved about his natural leadership and talent, let's see what we've got. I'd play him at MIKE.

not expecting fireworks in year 1, but i'm glad he's playing and starting at his natural position of MLB.

This guy's buckeye pedigree and leadership experience has legitimate value to the team.

i would rather him at strong this year. he is a thumper and good run defender. but he looks stiff to me

He's the one I'm looking for news on during Training camp. I think he could be the biggest addition to the D, not counting those returning from injury.

The way thus guy carries himself and the way he improved in 2016, he could be the steal of the draft when all is said and done. I just have a sneaky good feeling about this guy and his pro career.

What I've been saying since the day he was drafted. McMillian is our man in the middle.

Now in the future we need to start looking as to who will flank him.

As an OSU fan, watching this kid his whole career, I can say I've wanted Miami to draft him at MLB since his sophomore year. He will be a pro bowl player on the inside within the next few seasons
