So it looks like time is running out for these guys. There is only 2 weeks left before Free Agency kicks off. They may hit the market. Who would you sign from the three?
Here is where I stand:
McNair: Probably the best option. He only has 2 or 3 years left tops, but he is a strong, veteran competitor. He would be an upgrade to Frerotte, which would allow for Frerotte to move to the backup role leaving one spot for Lemon or a rookie to mentor from. Having both Frerotte and McNair would give Miami an enormous amount of veteran leadership and experience at QB. With the both of them, Miami could make a run at the playoffs in 2006. After 2006, Frerotte would have to go.
Culpepper: This is my second choice. He is still young and probably has alot of great football left in him. However, he does have some personal issues to deal with. His injury will be tough to bounce back from. Everyone will be wondering if he can return to full form again. He is still young and could provide Miami with a solid QB for quite some time. Saban could probably help him become more of a professional and clean up his act too. I wouldn't be upset if Miami traded a 2nd round pick for him. If he gets back in shape, he will be well worth it.
Pennington: I hope Miami stays away from him. I don't think Pennington will ever get back to what he once was. His best chance would be to leave NY. But even then, he has alot to overcome with his injuries and lost confidence. Miami should stay away from him.
