Who would you want as Dolphins QB next year and beyond?

''That's out of my hands,'' McNair said. ``I want to be back here. That's got to do with management. I don't get involved in that. If they decide to renegotiate my contract, that's fine. If not, we'll just have to work somewhere else.''

That somewhere else could be Miami. It's not a stretch to say the Dolphins could be searching for not only an upgrade at starting quarterback, but a tutor/role model for whatever young quarterback prospect they begin developing next season

Could Minnesota quarterback Daunte Culpepper be interested in leaving the Vikings next year? The Florida native  and former student of Dolphins offensive coordinator Scott Linehan  reportedly hinted as such during an interview with ESPN.
On ESPN's Sunday NFL Countdown, it was reported that Culpepper said: "I want to play where I'm wanted. Whatever team gets me next year, the team where I'm wanted, they'll get a bigger, better, faster Daunte Culpepper."

if I have to choice between the two I pick McNair. Culpepper just turns the ball over 2 much for me.

McNair is damaged goods and Culpepper is Mr. Turnover. Pass on both. Also, pass on Bret Favre who needs to retire.

I know Favre is not what he used to be but with no O line and not WR or RB support you really cant condemn him based on his stats. Personally I think he would be GREAT role model or Cutler. They are both reported to be similar styled QBs.

Definitely Culpepper. Once he gets healthy enough to start working out, he can start spending time to work on timing and chemistry with the receivers. He wouldn't need to be trying to learn a new playbook and trying to fit into a new team at the same time.

For a one - two year stay, I'd say McNair. I definitely like Culpepper better over a longer time period, but to get him we'd have to trade for him, McNair is likely going to be let go.

McNair would be a good guy to groom a draft pick. Culpepper is damaged goods and was only as good as his best WR before the career-changing knee injury.

If Minnesota tries to deal Culpepper you can bet there is more to that knee than we think. Johnson is not their future, he's old as hell.

mcnair is a sneeze away from retiring...

culpepper has never won a thing with a ton of weapons...qb isnt about numbers alone, its about the best leader...look at what the vikings have been doing since he left...on top of that culpepper cant throw intermediate passes...

Culpepper: younger, knows system, great arm. Question is going to be his health. He tore every ligament in his knee may never be the same again. I would not take Mcnair at all. I don't think he could play 16 games, even behind the stellar O-line we will have next year.

DPEPP with TO and Chambers would be deadly!

I'd take McNair, proven vet who we could get cheap. He is going to be released cause Tenn is not giving him the $50 mil in roster bonus. MInn will want draft pics that I don't want to give. McNair would be a big upgrade from Gus which is what everyone wants.
