Coming out of the Arena League, do you think it helped McPherson enough to become ready for the NFL? Being in a quick playing environment? or do you think it is too much of a leap for him? Just thought it would be cool to hear your guys' opinions.

he s the next daunte culpepper he just needs to add bulk but he has an arm like a cannon and runs a la mike vick style i saw him on national tv woooww im impressed

I heard he plays real well....in vegas at the books !

That is pretty funny, but I thought someone posted the "Last McPherson thread" yesterday? I don't think he's worth drafting and he'll tear up NFL Europe.

I think with Adrian going in the arena league, it made him more mentaly tough for what he's about to encounter; along with proving he can stay out of trouble. I think this kid has a bright future. He just needs to keep learning and keep staying out of trouble like he's been doing.

That's exactly what I'v been thinking (the Culpepper thing not the "runs a la Mike Vick" thing, you're crazy if you think anyone runs like Vick).

This kids arm reminds me of Culpepper. Culpepper just guns the ball downfield and catches guys in stride. I'm praying we get Matt Jones and McPherson later (3rd). Imagine with his gun throwing to Chris Chambers (4.31 40 yard dash) and Matt Jones. Add to that Chambers and McMichael at TE. In fact, if we trade with Minny, I think there's a chance Brown will still be there at #7 and he's a hell of a receiver. So in a 3 WR set, we would actually have 5 amazing receivers most of whom have blazing speed.

Well the problem is he's about 50 lbs lighter than Culpepper.

Mcpherson ran into some trouble with the law but besides for that he's pretty good. There is no doubt in my mind that if he wouldn't have gotten into trouble he would have been the starter. He's just as fast as Vick but with a better arm, he's the steal of the draft.

The qualities I'm alluding to with Culpepper have nothing to do with his size (unless you think his rocket arm is related to his size).

In response to a couple of responses on here.........He IS NOT as fast as Vick, Mcpherson ran a 4.55 at the Combine, and Vick has been reported running as low as a 4.2, and Mcpherson DOES NOT need to bulk up, you're talking about the same guy that Benched more than some D-line, and O-lineman at the combine..........The kid is STRONG!!! Mcpherson does however have more "potential" than any QB in recent memory, he's got Vick's armstrength at LEast, and he's got GREAT mobility(a 4.5 is still blazing fast for a QB) throughout his short/limited carreer he's also shown great accuracy. I wish some of you would have watched his Arena games, I know it's just Arena, but it actually takes a lot of skill sometimes in Arena because the field is much smaller and you gotta be able to thread the needle in that small area

LMFAO!!!

Ok let me correct ya a lil bit... Mcpherson ran 4.52 and Vick ran a 4.44 40...so there pretty close!

It does not take any skill of arm strength or accuracy to excel in the AFL...its quite easy and im very sure i could walk in and throw 50-60 tds! But I'm a mcpherson fan so i really cant take anything away from him...i hope we can get him somewhere in the draft probobly 3rd round would be best to talk him!

I dont know much about this guy buut if what i hear is true everyone is getting to worked up about it. there wil be know way we'll get him in the draft. he will go in second round. someone like oakland or dallas who needs a qb just as much will jump up and grab him. im just so damn tired of the dolphins taking one up the rear every april. we'll hay lets go fins. i love the dolphins and will pull for who will get drafted and not who i hope we draft.

LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In College they were ALL saying he was running a 4.2, and when he came into the league there were many people saying Vick was the fastest player in the League, and if you've ever seen Vick play you'd know he's a sub 4.4 guy. I've watched A lot of games Vick played in from College at VA Tech(I live in VA) to Atlanta, and I've also watched more games from Mcpherson than most people have simply because I watch A LOT of the Arena League, and Vick is far and away faster than Mcpherson. Oh, and I didn't say you had to have tremendous skill, but you do have to have some skill in order to make those tight throws at times. The field is much smaller which in turn means you have less room to work with as far as WR's running their routes, being able to lead them, etc....... It is NOT "Quite Easy"...... is it easier than the NFL.........OF COURSE because the level of competition isn't nearly as hard, but it still takes some skill to be able to play there

Oh, and for those of you that still think Mcpherson is a headcase, and nothing but trouble look at these quotes from him........

''It was a mistake. I made a mistake. That's what it boils down to,'' ''Me being away from home  there's no excuse for it. I'm not going to make one … But a lot of people said I wouldn't have a chance to play again, that I wouldn't even get to this point" ''I know this might be it. If I take a chance and do something wrong, I know what comes along with it. I've seen it. I've lived it. I don't want to go back there. I'm going to stay out of the way of everything … I know where I want to go.''

Like I been saying, he knows hwat he did wrong, and he's moving on, and getting ready for much better things
