I really hope we get R.W. to sign. He is a good corner. I think he would be a great fit in the new saban zone defense. Being that he doesnt have elite speed, but he can play physical and tackle. i dont know if they will use him for return purposes but that is also a little plus. He also played with Book in Chicago...maye Book can do a little convincing on the side. I liked him in Chicago and i really do think he would look right wearing our colors.

He's a playmaker. I like him...I know that many of you don't like this idea but if we do get RW than Welker could get cut. Welker is a roster spot soley as a return specialist and with RW we get a very good returner that also serves a roster spot as a corner that would contribute to the corner position. I like welker as much as the next guy i'm just saying it is a possibility.

yeah, its a possibility if they wanna keep say an extra one of those running backs...but welker is a good return man. and i said i dont know if they will use him for return purposes because i dont think they will due to the sudden lack of depth at the corner position. i would say look for someone else besides welker to get cut.

Well then Sage is going to be cut because he is soley a backup QB who hardly sees playing time. Welker isn't going to be cut. RWM is not as good as a returner as Wes is. Saban knows the value of field position.

What I like most is his versatility. He's played corner, he's played safety, and he's returned punts. The guy can help just about any team.

do you guys see him playin saftey for us while providing depth at corner... or do you see him playin corner while providing depth at saftey? I see him starting at FS for us if we sign him. thoughts?

Nasty

What lead you to believe thisguy doesn't have "elite" speed? You think they allow slow or average speed guys to return kicks and punt returns?

LOL and Booker still cries at night.....I doubt if he has any influence on this deal. Although i hope.

Welker doesn't have elite speed and he's a good returner. Do you have a link that says Booker is still crying?

Daniels is the guy who will go to FS IMO, he doesn't have the speed to turn and run and he has somewhat stiff hips.

What he does have however, is the ability find the ball in the air, long arms to deflect passes, the speed to play FS, and the ability to deliver a hit for the position.

If we managed to bring him in also I would think of Saban as a miracle worker for bad franchises.

Yeah, as soon as i heard he was cut, i immidiatley thought Miami should bring him in. Some people say "oh no, not another ex-Bear", but i really think he is and can be a solid corner in Miami. He also can return punts and kicks, which really is great in case we lose Welker or something strange happens in that area. I really think they should go after him, surely he's better than Buckley, and he's cheaper than Law

I like the idea of signing RW...he is fairly young, so he would be a good fit to replace SM next year when Poole returns. He is a more physical CB than SM or PS, although not in either's class. The question will be what will he sign for and how will it fit into the cap...I still can't figure out why Law seems to think he is still worth the bucks he thinks he is...He WAS an elite corner, but with the injury and his age, he is living in dreamland for some reason...
