Miami
2a. Chad Henne-QB-Michigan. I'm pretty well convinced that the Chad Henne stuff is a smokescreen. I just can't see the triumvirate picking Henne here over Groves, Flacco, Connor and Lofton. Oh well, I'm frequently wrong.
2b. Charles Godfrey-CB-Iowa. Certainly possible. That said, Sparano seems to be okay with the current Miami secondary, and I'm not sure that the triumvirate is going to pass up Dre Moore if he's available here.
3. Eddie Royal-WR-Va Tech. Really? Bill Parcells, the guy who's renowned for valuing size over all else takes a 5-9 receiver in the third round? To complement 5-11 Ted Ginn? I don't think so. Switch this with Early Doucet and it's still merely an okay pick. I don't think Miami picks a receiver on day one. There's no one out there with the size they want and James Hardy isn't going to fall to them. They might take Marcus Monk later in the draft.
4. Mike McGlynn-G-Pittsburgh. Solid pick and very likely to happen on draft day.
5. J Leman-LB-Illinois. Great pick.
6. Joe Jon Finley-TE-Oklahoma. I have no idea who this is. I resent that he is named "Joe Jon."
7. DJ Hall-WR-Alabama. Interesting pick. I'm not convinced that Hall's going to be able to make the transition to the pros, but he's definitely worth a gamble in the seventh.
7b. Darnell Terrell-CB-Michigan. No complaints.
