You know what.....Immm so sick of reading how much our team will suck this year. I dont care if they have a point or not..I dont care if they are right or not...

But I sooooooo hope we finish with a winning record so all of those touch holes can kiss Larry Chesters big back side. God youd think we would have just one writer who could be hopefull for a good year..but noooo....all of them say we suck...and maybe we do...Im just sick of reading about it.

And dont tell me not to read it..because I live and breath Dolphins football so it aint gonna happen.

All I can say..is someone could be eating a great big $#!^ pie at the end of this season...and I hope they relish every bite... :D
 
I don't care if we make them kiss our butt this year or not, but I would love to pull a new england and turn around and win a SB... that would be the ultimate satisfaction, that would be the only way to truely rub it in everyone's faces.

I actually dont read many stories about the dolphins anymore. Since the officail site now has the "insider" section, free btw, where you can watch video of Saban's pressconference and player press conferences. You get all the information w/o the a-hole slant of most reporters on the fins. Plus you get to see how much the media harps on the same damn questions about the qb's.

Although I would suggest you check out the Miami Heralds "On the run" podcast.

It is pretty good coverage w/o the negativity of other sources.

After I posted this the podcast had the two most negative guests in the short history of the podcast :p. Go figure.
 
Imagine winning the Superbowl with Gus at QB. It would be a bigger miracle than parting the Red Sea.

If the team has a great year, all the naysayers in the media will just spin it and say Miami was their sleeper pick because of Saban. Or "we knew there was a lot of talent there."
 
Do what I do, REad the headlines, the first few sentences. If it sounds negative beyond reality (which our season deserved negatives from last year but not now), tehn dont read anymore. You save yourself alot of time and hassle reading people's BS. BTW, it seems to me that Darlington's Blog is more like an actual article lately. :confused:

South florida media (especially the Miami Herald) are the absolute worst.

Just part of life my man just take it on the cheek and keep smiling. I actually get a kick out of it sometimes because I think to myself in a few years some of those jerks will be eating their words. Nothing you can do about..... don't let it upset you.
 
What i really want to know is do you guys get upset from the mid 90s-early '00s when every year the dolphins were a media darling and a preseason favorite desite never coming close to even making an AFC Title Game? I get the feeling the media was ok then but now they hit you w/ reality and you are upset.

Well I hope too that we'll pull a SD and get back to "respectabiliy", but we have to earn it first...the problem is that we have been "good" so long, most of us don't know what it's like to follow a 4-12 team...A good example is my "other" team...the Eagles....I went to HS in Philly and followed them for years when they couldn't beat a HS girls lacrosse team playing football...but then Vermeil came along and changed that...but they still never got press, except in Philly...but it would be nice to email a few of these writers in February....

Of course we enjoyed those predictions. Who wouldn't ?

I wouldn't call these predictions of doom and gloom this season realistic though. That's just my opinion. I don't get mad at them for having their opinion. I just choose to see things a bit more optimistically than some of the media guys.
