The way some NFL analysts talk about the Miami Dolphins, you'd think the teams the defending AFC East champions beat last year just rolled over and played dead. That simply wasn't the case.

ESPN's James Hasty called the Dolphins the most overrated team in the NFL, explaining that their strength of schedule this year will expose them. Really? Look at the talent on the Dallas Cowboys' roster and tell me that they aren't overrated. ESPN can't get enough of covering them.

The NFL Network's Brian Baldinger said that the Dolphins didn't lose anyone to injury last season. He must have forgot that leading receiver Greg Camarillo went down midseason with a knee injury. And didn't offensive lineman Donald Brown miss 15 games? As far as injuries were concerned last season, the Dolphins were more blessed than some; however, they did have their share of issues. They prevented the dam from overflowing by playing smart football and leading the league in turnover ratio. That didn't happen by accident.

Yes Donald Thomas, camarillo, smilley all went down with injuries....they were all big part of this team.....A starting WR and half the starting OL was missed...

Why listen to these jerks anyways...????

I personally don't have a problem with the media calling the Dolphins overachievers because it doesn't matter what they think. The Dolphins still have to go out and perform on the field. That is where the respect and recognition of achievement will come from.

When the Dolphins perform great on the field for more than one season, then and only then will certain people the media stop viewing them as overachievers.

I guess if the definition of overrated is work still to be done then yes I guess they are. Any team has a shot on Any Given Sunday, Al Pacino taught me that in one of his movies can remember which one ha!

The drafting is better then it has been in years and I am not talking about the players taken I am talking about the amount of talent taken. If you want to improve your chances of developing long term talent you have to infuse the most talent possible. The Dolphins have done this nicely in the last two drafts. Gone are the days of no second or third round picks!

More then likely the line will vastly improved over last season (baring injury) and the tackle position is the best it has been in decades. The guard position should yield at least one if not two very competent long term solution and the rest can fill in as needed. If Grove stays healthy based on all the breakdowns I have looked at he should provide improved run block straight up the middle where the games are won in the fourth quarter by breaking the defenses backs.

The Phins running backs are more then solid and I am sure better then any backfield we have had in years. Yes Ronnie needs to stay healthy and Ricky provides a perfect tool for that by sharing the load and this being Ronnie’s second year back from injury he should regain even more explosiveness. Not to mention the young talent on the roster at this position.

QB position has more talent for competition then I ever remember as a fan since before Marino. Enough said about that.

The receivers are more then adequate to get the job done especially if one has a break out season if not see the first sentence “still some work to be done”.

Of course the defense has also been addressed and many younger players signed to fill glaring needs. Rome wasn’t built in a day but this team is defiantly not overrated and I am absolutely certain the teams the Dolphins play all season don’t give a **** about what the critics say because they all know it is a bunch of crap.

Will the Phins win the division again this year maybe maybe not. Are they improved over last year, with out a doubt will they improve next off season, with out a doubt. So let them all say they are overrated who cares. Talk is cheap!

Um.....at least half of the teams we lost to either made or smelled the playoffs, we lost to the Jets (barely) first game...we beat them otherwise they would have made the playoffs, we lost to the Cardinals...hmmm didn't they make the Super Bowl?...we lost to the Ravens who came close to making the Super Bowl, we lost to the Patriots who almost made the playoffs....and we lost the the Texans who are definitely an up and coming team ...I'd hardly call that overrated

Personally I think they DO give a **** what the critics say, because they've made mention of critical remarks before. I for one hope they do listen to the critics so they can have the motivation to prove that the team is good, and throw it back in the critics faces

Everyone needs to remember that the media hates it when a team, any team, exposes them for the total HACKS that they are. Traditional ‘journalist”, ex-players, and straight-up talking-bobbleheads, all had the Phins finishing dead last or so close they could see it.

The Phins season flat-out embarrassed to 4-letter and almost as importantly, knocked the Patsies of their pre-ordained position of AFC East gods. Frankly, I can’t wait for this season so the Phins can bash the doubters with another AFC East title and maybe a AFC title to boot.

Who's Donald Brown?

C'mon guys...You know you'd be saying how much of an idiot this guy is if he can't even get our players names right if this were a negative piece....C'mon...You know you would.

I don't know.....but I do know who Al Pacino is....I think he's the kicker...

Yes I agree the Dolphins players give a **** and they should. I was referring to the teams the dolphins play not listening to what the critics say about the Dolphins being overrated. I hope the whole team uses it as motivation to beat some ***.

The year before they had us ranked high and we failed them...............Last year they thought we may win a couple of games and we let them down again............They just can seem to predict the phins and thats why they hate us....

The media has been EXPOSED by the miami dolphins. THey don't know JACK.

Alright well lets "overachieve" this year. The media just needs to be quiet; period.
