Mediocre Schedule

How can the Cheaters have the lowest ranked schedule than everyone in our division??

I think you answered your own question brother.

Our schedule as always harder than theirs even though they always have a better record from the year before.

I guess you have to know somebody.

NE's is "easier" b/c the Dolphins record factors into their SOS whereas the same applies to Miami when it comes to NE. Since NE had a 12-4 record it would appear that Miami's SOS is worse. In a way it is considering NE's SOS is "lower" because of Miami.

I really think we need to go 4-2 in our division if we want to make the playoffs. Sweep someone for ****'s sake.

I'd be happy with these results:

4-2 in the division
3-1 vs. AFC South
1-1 vs. BAL & SD
3-1 vs. NFC East

That's 11 wins, which should get us in the playoffs.

Yeah, I don't see how that is possible considering we only have two games that are different on the schedule. We play San Diego and Baltimore and the Patriots play Denver and Pittsburgh, who both had a better record than the two teams we play. Unless they are factoring in home and away futures.

Here is Abramson's take on the 2015 schedule

The NFL will be releasing its schedule in April but we already know all the Dolphins opponents and one date. Miami’s “home” game in London against the New York Jets will kickoff on Oct. 4 at 9:30 a.m. ET.

Here’s a look at all of the 2015 opponents.

NY Giants: The G-Men are making a rare trip to Sun Life Stadium. In fact it’s so unusual that they haven’t played in Miami since 1996 when they defeated the Dolphins 17-7.

It’s been such a long gap because of division realignment and the last scheduled Dolphins home game against the Giants in 2007 moving to London. So this will be a treat for Giants fans living in South Florida.

The Giants were just 6-10 last year but played well down the stretch behind the breakout rookie season of receiver Odell Beckham Jr. It’ll be a game of pride with Beckham and his BFF, Dolphins receiver Jarvis Landry, both looking for the win.

Dallas: This is another attractive home opponent because of the Cowboys’ widespread popularity. And they’re actually good these days, nearly making it to the NFC title game in a controversial loss to Green Bay.

Miami last hosted Dallas in in the miserable one-win 2007 season, losing to the Cowboys 37-20.

Indianapolis: Andrew Luck and the Colts stood no chance against New England in the AFC title game. But they were there and they are clearly a team on the rise.

Tannehill outplayed Luck when the Dolphins defeated the Colts on the road in 2013. Indianapolis hasn’t traveled to Miami since 2009 when Peyton Manning was still at the helm. The Colts won that game 27-23.

Houston: The Dolphins will again be looking for their first ever against the Texans.

Miami has lost all seven of its games against Houston. The most recent loss came in Tannehill’s debut game, 30-10.

Houston defeated the Dolphins 23-13 in 2011, the last matchup at Sun Life Stadium. It was in front of a crowd of just 51,032 — a bad showing for a September game.

Baltimore: For the third consecutive year, the scheduling Cupid put the Ravens in Miami. He must really like Baltimore because the Dolphins have dropped home games to the Ravens in each of the last two seasons.

Miami has lost five straight games to Baltiomre, with the last win coming on the overtime Greg Camarillo touchdown in 2007 — the Dolphins’ lone win that season.
ROAD

Washington: The Dolphins last traveled to Washington in 2007, losing 16-13 in overtime. Miami won the most recent game against the Reds***s in 2011, 20-9.

There are a lot of question marks in Washington including who will start at quarterback.

Philadelphia: Dolphins offensive coordinator Bill Lazor knows a little something about the Eagles. He was their quarterbacks coach in 2013.

Nick Foles was injured for much of the 2014 season and replaced by Mark Sanchez. Even when he was healthy, Foles regressed in 2014.

Miami’s last trip to Philadelphia ended in a 17-7 loss. The Dolphins also lost to the Eagles in Miami 26-10 in 2011.

The Dolphins haven’t defeated the Eagles since 1999 and haven’t won in Philly since 1993.

Tennessee: The Titans are coming off a 2-14 season so it could be a good matchup for Miami.

The Dolphins won their first game in Tennessee in 2001 but have dropped the last two. The Titans stunned the Dolphins 37-3 in Miami in 2012, the last time the two teams played.

Jacksonville: The Dolphins are making a repeat trip to Jacksonville in 2015 after winning 27-13 this past season.

The Jaguars have a lot of money to spend this offseason but could be heading for another rough season.

San Diego: The Dolphins have defeated the Chargers the last two years — both games in Miami — including a 37-0 win in 2014.

The Dolphins dropped their previous two games in San Diego, last winning there 23-21 in 2005. Gus Frerotte had a 128.8 QB rating in the game while San Diego’s Drew Brees was held to an 85.3.

Because we also play each other twice. We were 8-8. They were 12-4. That's the difference.

Miami plays against a 12-4 team (Patriots) twice, Patriots plays a 8-8 team (Dolphins) twice. That makes a 24-8 vs 16-16
