Disclaimer: I'm not aware of the "rules of engagement" when it comes to approaching contracted players, so be gentle if you plan to bash this thread!

What are the chances of The Tuna talking with Anquan Bolden before/after the game against the Cards? I mean, if they just happen to bump into each other out the front of the stadium or in the mens room, is there an opportunity for Parcells to talk to Bolden?

Or does he have to ask permission from the Cards or Bolden's agent first?

Maybe a MIA player can talk to him, on behalf of our FO?

It would be really interesting if substantial rumours appear following the game...

He has to have permission before he talks to another player that is under contract about joining the squad

We cant really discuss anything more than the weather with him and even then they better have a few witnesses or risk being accused of tampering. While I agree that Bolden would be a great addition to this team the cost would be too high. Arizona already turned down three different offers for a first rd pick for him from what I hear.

Do we really want to give up what will probably be a top 10 pick plus additional picks to get him? Granted he is young enough at 27 but we are more than just one player away from making a legitimate push. We are better off letting these young rookies we have play out this season and learn their roles before we add a guy like Bolden to the team.

I agree, it is probably not in the best interest of the teams future, considering trading draft picks most likely got us in this situation in the first place.

I also think most fans are waiting for us to 'do' something. With regards to picking up some critical piece needed on our roster I mean. As I understand, we have a tonne of cap space which would be lost if not used up?

That's Boldin to you folks but I suspect you will remember the name real well after Sunday.

He is on a 3 year contract and isn't going anywhere. What you here in the news is just business as usual for the most obnoxious agents in Pro Sports, Drew R.

It's gonna end up being another humbling Chad Ochocinco retreat unfortunately unless a 1st rounder is involved IMO, even if it starts out as a conditional second moving higher based on #catches or total yards. Can't see our brain trusts (using that expression loosely right around now considering all the FA/FA$ they've blown thru) going for that.

Doesn't mean anything, Cards won't trade him and Boldin says he will play out his contract which he is still locked into for quite some time.

Ginn and a 2nd, done deal

so it would be JT and Ginn for Boldin. I like it

Boldin is what? 27? almost 28?

3 years left on his contract, making him a 31 year old FA...

His agent is Rosenhaus.....

Drew knows that he wont be worth near as much in 3 years as he is right now. Especially to a team that desperately needs a #1 WR.

I think this happens. I think Anquan fly's home with the Fins.

(Bah, just wishful thinking....)

(But maybe!)

The cards will want a 1st AND a 2nd for Boldin, and nothing less Im sure. They have him for 3 years, hes still performing and hes not gonna quit. There is no point in them giving him up unless a great deal is given. Stop talking about giving up 2nd rounders, it ain;t happening.
