i didnt see this posted.... i saw on espn that mel kiper has dwayne jarrett out of the first round and possibly him going to the bears at pick 37.Kiper also said that a lot of GMs were dissapointed in his 40 time as was everyone else here at finheaven and it put him out of round one.He siad that theyr might be a possiblity that a team takes a chance on him in round one such as Titans.

Yeah those same GM's were also dissapointed at Anquan Boldin's 40 time, having him fall to the 2nd.

do you think he can be like Q or no as in production wise in the NFL. I wish he fell to us at forty.....if he did , Mueller and Cam better take him.

If Rice and Jarret are their at 40, I take Rice every time.

really ? for what reason

Rice is just amazing in man coverage . . . he may have the best moves of any receiver in this draft . . . he doesn't have that killer speed . . . if he ran a 4.4 and played at USC . . . he would be a top 10 lock. So much politics in the draft it isn't funny. Jarret runs great routes but when u run slower than LB's and can't handle tight coverage . . . that will raise questions about you on the next level. It doesn't help that Mike Williams was a bust just 2 years before and played at USC and had similar physcials . . . but better speed (tho his route running wasn't nearly as refined as Dwaynes).

I mean its all opinion . . . but Rice is nasty . . . put him or Calvin Johnson in a program like USC or Ohio State . . . and I tell u, it would have been something nice to see.

Yet another great reason to hope Quinn falls. Instead of using that 2nd pick on a QB, we can use it on one of the top tier WRs.
We do need serious help at the O line, but with QB such a priority and this draft class having great WRs, I would rather use the latter part of round 2 and beyond on our line.

I think the potential factor comes into affect when you talk about Rice, he has the potential to be a great wr, but is not nearly as poished as jarrett is at this point. I wouldn't be dissapointed with either of the 2 but if given the opportunity from the 2 i would choose jarrett. Jarrett does not get great separation, but he has great hands and can make all the tough catches in traffic and can go up and get the ball in tight coverage and has the physical strength to fight defenders off at the line.

If the draft was a week after USC vs Michigan Jarrett would be a top 10 pick. He DOMINATED that game and will be a great player for whatever team grabs him. There is no way he gets out of rd 1.

Dj is a great football player and will be sucessful in the nfl,,,we would be lucky to get him in the 2nd but not if we take ginn in the first.

Jarrett has character issues....thats why he is out of round one and I wouldn't be surprised if he goes into round 3
