As Kiper notes, many of the better teams may fill their more glaring needs via free agency allowing them to target the best player available, which would change all potential mocks when such a free agent signing happens.
Until then, here is his second version of his 2016 NFL mock draft:
1. Tennessee Titans: Laremy Tunsil, OT, Ole Miss
2. Cleveland Browns: Carson Wentz, QB, North Dakota State
3. San Diego Chargers: DeForest Buckner, DE, Oregon
4. Dallas Cowboys: Jared Goff, QB, California
5. Jacksonville Jaguars: Jalen Ramsey, DB, Florida State
6. Baltimore Ravens: Joey Bosa, DE, Ohio State
7. San Francisco 49ers: Myles Jack, LB, UCLA
8. Miami Dolphins: Ronnie Stanley, OT, Notre Dame
9. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Vernon Hargreaves, CB, Florida
10. New York Giants: Noah Spence, DE/OLB, Eastern Kentucky
11. Chicago Bears: Jaylon Smith, LB, Notre Dame
12. New Orleans Saints: Sheldon Rankins, DL, Louisville
13. Philadelphia Eagles: Jack Conklin, OT, Michigan State
14. Oakland Raiders: Eli Apple, CB, Ohio State
15. Los Angeles Rams: Laquon Treadwell, WR, Ole Miss
16. Detroit Lions: Jarran Reed, DL, Alabama
17. Atlanta Falcons: Shaq Lawson, DE, Clemson
18. Indianapolis Colts: Ryan Kelly, C, Alabama
19. Buffalo Bills: Kevin Dodd, DE, Clemson
20. New York Jets: Reggie Ragland, LB, Alabama
21. Washington Redskins: A’Shawn Robinson, DL, Alabama
22. Houston Texans: Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Ohio State
23. Minnesota Vikings: Cody Whitehair, OG, Kansas State
24. Cincinnati Bengals: Josh Doctson, WR, TCU
25. Pittsburgh Steelers: Kendall Fuller, CB, Virginia Tech
26. Seattle Seahawks: Robert Nkemdiche, DL, Ole Miss
27. Green Bay Packers: Hunter Henry, TE, Arkansas
28. Kansas City Chiefs: Jihad Ward, DE, Illinois
29. Arizona Cardinals: Kamalei Correa, OLB, Boise State
30. Carolina Panthers: Mackensie Alexander, CB, Clemson
31. Denver Broncos: Taylor Decker, OT, Ohio State
There will be only 31 picks in the first round in 2016 after the New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft agreed to a deal with the league to forfeit their 1st round draft pick, after admitting their part in the DeflateGate scandal.
It is noticeable to see a few significant players missing off this board. Andrew Billings, a defensive tackle from Baylor seems like a sure 1st rounder, who’s stock is only climbing these days. Also missing is Linebacker Darron Lee from Ohio State, who a good number of sites have as a solid 1st rounder too. Myles Jack at no.7 would seem to indicate Kiper believes he is well healed from an injury that is still severe enough to keep him out of the NFL scouting combine in a few weeks time.
