They are clearly the 2 best runningbacks in the draft, and even though there seem to be lots of good runningbacks in this draft, they are both elite, and the others aren't.

I'll be honest from the get go, Todd Gurley would be a better pick if he hadn't torn his ACL. Not everyone is Adrian Peterson, to do what he did after tearing his ACL was an anomaly and borderline the most impressive thing I have ever seen an athlete do. I doubt that Gurley does it the way AP did it. Gurley might come back to form but most likely not this season or the next. A leg injury for a runningback is a big red flag.

For this reason, if we are going to choose a runningback, it has to be Melvin Gordon, or we should pick a player from another position at 14.

People say that RB is not a position of need on this team but in reality we are one Lamar Miller injury away from disaster. DID YOU GUYS NOT LEARN FROM WATCHING DANIEL THOMAS ALL THESE YEARS?

The NFL is full of injuries and we cannot afford to not have a horse in the backfield. Lamar Miller, whom I love, has shown that he is not an every down back and we must run with dual backs. The good news is if we don't pick up Gordon in the first round we could pair Miller with many other RB's coming out this year in the later rounds.

I would not mind seeing a duo of Duke Johnson(3rd round preferably) and Lamar Miller.

Gurley over Gordon and it isn't even close...

Gurley over Gordon, but it is close. Both are nice players that will make an impact.

It's going to take more than an antiquated view of sports medicine to convince me that Gurley would be a bad pick. I like Gordon, but Gurley is a superior RB IMO, regardless of injury. Youth and modern medicine are on his side and with Miller, there is no reason to rush him either.

I want the random unknown RB that goes in the 6th round that ends up outproducing them both.

I want that with every position. I also really really want to win the lottery.

Gordon before Gurley... alphabetically speaking. Otherwise, bring me the Todd.

Gurley 1st rd #14.

For me Gordon is an early rd 2 - selection - he will be scooped before we pick again anyways - SD will take one of the 2 - they will trade up to get Gurley ahead of us anyways

The question might be is Gordon better than a receiver, CB or pass rusher if Gurley is gone before 14.

Gordon is explosive to he hole. He is home run threat. He has played in a zone scheme. High character kid. Odometer is bit up there though.

At 14 it's Gurley all day for me.

If we trade down into the 20's I'd strongly consider Gordon, assuming Gurley is gone.

Both should help any team tremendously, I think Gurley is just going to be better.

I also like Gordon more than Gurley .

I like them both
