I couldn't have said this better...since Marty has been here I've wanted him to get a lot more balls thrown his way because of the things I saw him do in Chicago..this guy just makes plays when the ball comes his way, and i'm hoping DC remembers what he saw playing Chicago when Marty was there. Afterall we have 2 #1 recievers, Marty was #1 in Chicago and their team leader and he's only in his 7th year, a very young guy in his own rights..Read and discuss..

Good article...

In his seven years in the league, Booker has consistently showed the ability to make big receptions. Since joining the Dolphins, he has yet to put up the numbers he did as a Chicago Bear, but he has racked up big yardage on his few receptions. The proof can be seen in his average yards per reception numbers in South Florida (12.8, 17.6).

I agree with this article...If Booker gets his chances I think he will produce.

He's a very polished and savvy #2 receiver. He's not a weakness at #2 receiver. I think he's fine where he's at...a better quarterback will naturally lead to more balls being thrown Marty's way because we'll be getting more first downs and throwing more accurate passes.

I just feel that having Chris and Marty is not all that much unlike having Duper and Clayton. Add Ronnie and Randy and you have two weapons that Marino never had. Any QB that can't find success has no excuse. Joey or Dante.

Whoa, slow down there feller!!!

Chambers and Booker couldn't sniff Duper and Clayton's jocks! Duper and Clayton were fast as all get out...and they didn't drop the ball like our friend Chambers. I HOPE Chambers and Booker really step it up with a Pro Bowl QB, but let's not get ahead of ourselves!

Booker is a very underrated WR. I remember Leinhan saying last season that Booker was a perfect fit and be expecting him to have a big role in the offense, but I don't think 39 passes is a big role in any offense. I just don't understand people that say Booker isn't a good WR and he has nothing left in the tank. Booker is a perfect #2 guy and he will always make plays. Hopefully Culpepper will give Booker the ball alot this season and let him do the things that he can do. I expect our WR's to improve their numbers with finally have a accurate QB throwing to them.

:yeahthat::rawk:

Nice read, thanks. Booker can and should be a monster and with our finally having two good QB's to throw to them, Booker & Chambers should indeed remind us of Clayton & Duper, maybe even better since we now have other weapons such as Ronnie and MicMichaels.

In Saban We Trust!

Wow, I just don't see Chambers/Booker equalling (or surpassing) Duper/Clayton.

I mean, Duper/Clayton was a tandem for the ages! Look, I hope they both have 1,000 yard seasons and go to the Pro-Bowl.

In 1984, Duper had 71 catches for 1,306 yards & 8 TDs
In 1984, Clayton had 73 catches for 1,389 yards and 18 TDs.
Of course, that was in 1984, Marino's record-breaking year, but those dudes were amazing!

Dudes, not to seem negative, but there is something fishy about that site that this article is on. I am very paranoid about spyware and this is the second time that someone had posted a link to that site and both times the network activity seems a little "much". Download and upload activity seems to continue long after the web page seems to have completely loaded. It maybe because of some flash banner that they are trying to load, which is generaly OK as long as it's not malicious, but I noticed a popup after reading a few seconds of this article that I don't like. I have seen this particular pop up before and it generally is a bad omen for things to come. I am not saying that the poster is intentionaly leading us to a bad site nor that that the article is bad. I am just saying to keep an eye out...

Don't use IE.

I'm not so into that site.....most of the articles seem like fluff pieces. Kinda like they take the news and water it down with severe homerism. Not a diss, I just get enough of that stuff from the boards. ;-)

I like Booker as a No 2 WR but is he worth a 7 million cap hit next year ?
Unless he renegotiates he will be earning a No 1 WRs money ? To put it into prespective CC will be earning 6 million this coming year.

IMO thats one of the reasons we drafted Hagan. To be the eventual rèplacement for Booker if he doesnt renegotiate.

I do think Booker will have an outstanding year now that we have a good QB to throw to him.He is very versatile and can play slot and throw a good pass when needed.

booker will renegotiate if things go well this year. Otherwise he has every right to want to leave.
