Dion Jordan remains on the non-football injury list with a knee injury, but defensive coordinator Vance Joseph is impressed with the progress he’s made.
“He's been totally engaged in meetings and with his rehab,” Joseph said. “He needs time to get healthy. Once he gets healthy, we'll get him out there.”
Although Jordan was a collegiate linebacker and played the position some with the Dolphins, Joseph intends to use Jordan at defensive end when he does return.
When Jordan returns, it will make a difficult roster decision even more so. Joseph intimated that the Dolphins will only keep five ends, with Jordan, Chris McCain and Terrence Fede battling for one spot.
Joseph called McCain “a natural pass-rusher” who needs to do a better job of setting the edge in running play.
