Since I live about 30-40 min from Pittsburgh, every local channel is running "Breaking News" stories about Ben being hurt. I know pro atheltes/celebrities are big deals in America, but if this was some Joe Shmo there wouldn't be 5 channels devoting their midday schedules to him. He would have 5 seconds on the 11 oclock news.


Edit: they are speculating that he may have broken his jaw.

This may be the wrong forum, but has anyone heard more about Rothlisberger's motorcycle crash? A radio report said he had a substantial head injury, as he doesn't like wearing helmets. Any opening day implications?

Apparently Terry had tried to give Ben some "fatherly" advice regarding riding the motorcycles. I think he basically told him after Winslow's accident that Ben shouldn't ride now and can ride all he wants after he retires. Or something to that effect.
