Any QB who's last name doesn't start with "F"

I hate Feidler, Feeley, and Ferotte. Sage sucks too. Give me somebody who can play. Rant over.

Frerotte/Passing Game

Wanted to bring up 2 things.
I think Frerotte will probably get some hating on this forum this week but I thought he did fine. He gave us a chance to win and didnt make mistakes aside from the last int where I really thought he was trying to make something happen.

Also, do you guys think we abandoned the run a little too early? Maybe im used to seeing wanstedt run it up the gut all the time but it didnt seem like we ran the ball much. I know we were struggling at it early, but it looked like ronnie was starting to get going. I thought 43 passes for fretotte was too much.

Otherwise I wouldnt get too down about this loss. We played a close game with the jets at home. Our team is improving and we are much better than last year.

I agree, anyone who comes in and starts the BS about Frerotte sucking and it being his fault are clearly clueless. Wilcots was even saying toward the end of the game he thinks Frerotte played well. That INT came when the game was already decided and it was forth down and we needed to push. No harm there, especially even if we did score we still needed 3 more.

If it makes people feel better, Brees got picked off by Bailey today as well and it was returned for a TD. And I know there are a million folks here calling for Brees.

I agree.

Frerotte has played well in these first two games. Consistency (or a lack thereof) is his knock. But so far, he's playing well. He's avoided sacks and is getting rid of the ball. Noteworthy: Gus is supposed to be especially bad on the road.

The INT......I won't knock him. We had to score before the 2 minute warning, as we had no timeouts left. Gus was just trying to make something out of nothing. Even if he made a bad throw in the first half for an INT, I'll give him or any other QB a pass. You throw it 40 some odd times in an NFL game, you're bound to have a bad pass.

I also thought we gave up on the run too early. I know it wasn't working too well. But I thought we could have not passed on a few more ocassions.

The QB play wasn't too bad today. I'ts time for Chris Chambers to do a little more than "draw flags" like all the guys who stick up for him say he does so well.

Im with you. I thought Ferrotte was ok, not a world beater, but other than McMicheal probably had best game on the O side, not that is saying much

The only thing I didn't see alot of was the bomb to keep the jets loose..it seems we kept everything short..that surprised me, but I'm not disappointed in this loss from a effort standpoint..mental mistakes does kill us.

Our offensive line sucked today, we didn't allow plenty of sacks, but the pressure was there, and we had no running game, no room, they were dominated, we had too many penalties, oh well, only second game.

Listen just wait till RONNIE gets some experience, remember he missed training camp, and if we can hold down the fort RICKY will definately make us better...Remember its SABANS 1styear, NO EXPECTATIONS!!! The trophy will be ours before you know it

i saw dropped passes.. penalties.. and the lack of recievers getting open. Frerotte is only 1 aspect of the offense.....we got outplayed. vengence shall be ours!

There would've been more bombs if there was time, the o-line was awful, no sacks but there would've have if it wasn't for Frerottes poise and ability to side step the rush. This loss wouldn't have sucked so much if it wasn't from a division foe such as the jets. I hate the jets

Frerotte Looked Good.

I was happy with how he played all game long. He made his throws, and had a lot of passes dropped. The receivers didn't go up for the ball like they should have. He was a great leader out there, and when ronnie messed up he was there to help him out.

I think ronnie brown looked fine, he made them miss and he looks more improved already.

Our OL and backfield wasn't picking up the blitzes like we did last week, but still played mediocre against a tough front.

All you fans who are complaining about how we played and comparing it to last year are either fair weather fans...or you just don't know jack **** about football.

it is pretty funny how our biggest weakness before the season started has so far been our brightest spot. frerotte has played as well as he should be

Suprisingly, Gus has been the bright spot on the offense. He played as well as anyone could without a run game or solid pass protection.

yeah. props to frerrotte. hes still trying, and Him and Mcmicheal are two guys i know who will never quit on this team. I'm proud of them both as performers. I just hate that gimmie INT thats going to count against him. It didn't mean anything, but it will be put down as a turnover.
