First Off: He picks the patriots vs cowboys in the super bowl...a joke

second: he writes Over the last few days, I filtered my pick down from eight teams. Seattle, Carolina and Tampa Bay were my other NFC teams. San Diego, Indianapolis and Miami were my other AFC teams. When I woke up Saturday morning, I was thinking Carolina-Indianapolis. Then Carolina-San Diego and Dallas-San Diego. I knocked out San Diego because of Philip Rivers' playoff inexperience. I dropped Miami because I don't trust Culpepper to play 16 games, and I really don't trust his backup, Joey Harrington.

the thought that went through my mind is does peter king know who we play for the 1st 7 games of the year? no one good.. except pitt, and new england... we can afford to sit culpepper those games
has he been paying attention to culpepper recovery? also, joey harrington coming to a better team with better weapons and less pressure...lost all respect to peter king

Boo hoo....the guy doesnt have faith in a QB that has a losing record who was traded for a 6th round pick and doesnt think we will make the SB and you lose respect for him? Get over it

Seemed like legitimate concerns to me. He might be right, he might be wrong, but it certainly was not an unreasonable. It is after all, just an opinion.

He's got Miami as one of his 4 teams in the AFC. If we are one of the last 4 teams standing in the AFC, then that means we either won our division or won a playoff game (or both). To me, that would be a successful season.

na i think he said the patriots are going to the superbowl..

Can't really say that he is stating anything too differently than anyone else other than the super bowl picks. No way does Dallas make the big game in my opinion and I really think that we unseat the Pats this year. But that is MY opinion.

Well, that just means that one of us is a wildcard team. If we're the wildcard team, it would mean we won a playoff game.

what he said...he didn't say the fish would suck, and the questions re our qb's are legitimate concerns. and he did have us as one of the top four teams in the afc - very fair observations, imo.

peter wants to marry parcells
:sidelol:

He wants to buy him some coffee and talk about his daughters college sports career. Play by play...

I thought it was a compliment more than anything else, but the only reason he thinks that way is because in his mind, sucking up to Saban comes right after sucking up to Parcells & Billichik.

He is like the human interest, drama queen. All he REALLY wants to talk about are the peripheral stories that aren't directly about football.

I find him pretty annoying. I don't understand how he ever got to be in charge of the Inside the NFL, HBO series. He's a good guy don't get me wrong but I think he's like a High School journalist who stole a REAL sports writers credentials and is running amok...:fire:

No fan likes any reporter unless said reporter sucks up to his/her team. According to a fan, every beat reporter is a lazy idiot, every national reporter is too far removed from situations to have any idea what is going on, and any TV analyst is a dumb jock who loves his old team.

Honestly, if you expect everyone to pick us to win the SB and will be upset if they don't, you're in for a long season. I am as hopeful and optimistic about this team as anyone, because I think we've upgraded talent in big ways and we're coming off a great end to last season.

But national writers look for results, not trends, because reporting on trends as opposed to results gets them fired. Whether Culpepper is going to be healthy for the start of the season is a crapshoot. We truly don't know yet. It's a legit concern for a writer to think he might not be ready.

This team still has a lot to prove. It won six games in a row when the pressure was off and expectations are low. Let's see them do it for real when it counts for something. Then the writers will give us respect.

Oh god forbid he isn't a Dolphins homer that predicts us going to any less than the Super Bowl.

Newsflash: Peter King has more football knowledge in his pinky than you could probably ever hope to have. and me. and most of the rest of us.

He could very well be wrong, but who can predict the NFL before the season begins? Peter King writes good articles and also good sports books for SI. Get a thicker skin, for the love of God.
