The Dolphins would be among the NFL teams interested if Notre Dame junior QB Brady Quinn enters the 2006 draft.

OAKLAND - Notre Dame junior quarterback Brady Quinn, considered a potential high draft pick, left the door open to entering the 2006 NFL draft despite saying last week he likely will return for his senior season.

''Not unless something astronomical were to happen,'' Quinn said Saturday night after leading the Irish to a 38-31 comeback win against Stanford. ``It's something I may look at after the bowl game. But right now, I'm just worried about getting ready for the bowl game.

''It's something I'm going to have to study but I'm not thinking about right now,'' said Quinn, who said he didn't even know about the procedures he would have to follow to contact the NFL about his possible draft status.

Thank you fishpete. I am now REALY rooting for a new CBA.

i have been talking about these rookie contracts for months!!!! i am oing to have to check out the notre damn bowl game and see some more of quinn.

even if Quinn comes out, we would have to trade up to get him most likely. im not agaisnt trading up for a QB. pretty much whatever it takes to get a franchise QB, i dont care.

Even if we could afford him....

I think we are in a position to be able to afford any pick in the draft next year as far as our cap is concerned. Picks might be a differant story......

We can afford him no problem. If what he says is true about the CBA, and lower gaurentees in 2007, there could be a big rush of juniors.
