Got Doug Gabriel from Oakland for a draft pick problably. We needed someone since Branch aint returning and thats clear. He cracked the Raiders starting lineup and then is traded...well he is pretty damn tall and has good hands. Necesary pickup and a good young player.

damn it. brb Have to grab him in Fantasy leauges

Patriots need Chad Jackson to come back now, and be healthy. He will be a star in this league.

Any updates on Chad Jackson's health yet?

he pretty good. I see alot of raiders game here in Los Angeles and he every bit as good as Joey Porter without the attitude.

Hmm, was he the Raiders #4 or #5? I know the 1 2 and 3 were Moss Porter and Curry, but did Gabriel or Witted(sp?) get the #4 spot?

Either way he's not starting material, not horrible, but not starting material.

Sorry, but I honestly had never heard of him till now

Here's some numbers

In 3 seasons with raiders he has

71 REC
1122 YARDS
15.8 AVERAGE
5 TD's.
Report is that he was expected to start opposite Moss for Oakland. Why would Oakland give up a projected starter? :shakeno: Must be that damn Beligoat Mind Meld thing again...:D

WR Doug Gabriel was traded Saturday from the Raiders to the Patriots, who faced the uncertainty of whether holdout Deion Branch will return. The Raiders announced the deal, but did not say what they would receive as compensation. Gabriel, who was scheduled to start across from Randy Moss, has 71 receptions in three seasons and fills a need on the Patriots even if Branch, their best receiver and the MVP of the 2005 Super Bowl, does return.

One of those was his rookie season that he caught about 1 pass in that season. He young and gots good hands, not afraid to go across the middle. His build is pretty big but I dont think he a burner.

Doug Gabriel has never really improved since being drafted. No big deal at all.

Never heard of him...I've heard of Roman Gabriel but not Doug.

The fact is, he is better than any one the Patriots currently have. To me, that is a little important. Sure he isn't great, but he does make them better.

100% true, he was a SOLID player and thats it, he wasnt a real good underneath route runner but is tough and made some circus catches he will be good in N.E but not great
