interesting. That would definitely make it worthwhile to watch. I think it's a great idea.

he's not permitted to play for ANY other professional league. Or maybe just football, not certain.

I could see Ricky on the ATP tennis tour. That would be something. Kind of a Yannick Noah type.

As part of the suspension, Ricky Williams is not permitted to participate in any proffesional football organization for the year. Being that this is considered one, I think it might be a problem. If Im not mistaken, the CFL is considered just that and is affilated with the NFL in some way.

Additionally, you can get some great weed in Vancuver, so meditate on that.

That clause would never hold up in court. Employment contracts can't prevent you from working ANYWHERE in your given field. They have to provide some outlet for your being able to make a living or the courts throw them out. That's why no intelligent company will make you sign a non-compete that keeps you from working for another company in another part of the country. Now, that requires that Williams fight the contract, but if he did that would never hold up.

Ricky in Canada? Man he'd be the MVP no doubt...Anyone know the average salaries for the CFL?

True, he could work for the cfl and they can't stop him, but they can certainly choose to not allow him back in their league.

Like they're going to anyway? Further, he'd have a great lawsuit if they kept him out for that reason.

around 50 - 60 K a year. not much, some guys get 100,000 or a bit more but nothing like the nfl salaries.

Ricky would crush every rushing record by a mile if he was able to play in the CFL. Ricky come to Calgary Stamps, my city!
