bad that Madison got the axe? He was with the fins for 9 years and I feel attached to him I guess. Anyway, I think we can all remember the success and the great play he gave the Dolphins over those 9 years. Good memories. Its funny. I never liked to Surtain like I did Madison.

To be honest, not really.

its a business, he knows that........we were paying him more money then hes worth.

Yeah, I feel bad. I was hoping we could keep him. Sucks to see him just released like that. But like with Surtain, it's a business and some things just have to be done.

Actually yeah. He was one of my fav. Fins since he started here. I'll miss ya Sam! :(

No, there's a chance he could be back under a new contract that's less cap intensive. We'll see what happens with the CBA and how much space we have when it comes time.

I wonder who is going to fill his shoes in 06

I'm going to miss Sam. I became a Dolphin fan really as he was picking up momentum as a superstar player, and he's really all I've known as an integral part of our team. Sad to see him go after all the memories. I wish him the best -- and I hope he goes to Kansas City to rejoin Pat and Sammy

I will miss him a lot. I hope theres a chance of him re-signing to a cheaper deal. It would be very strange not having him or Surtain on the field.

I know its a buisness, and he was making more than he was worth and we need the money and all that, but still I really wish we could have had him until he retired. I guess it wasnt in the best intrests of the Dolphins though. I not complaining that he got cut, just pointing out what a great career he had here.

The Sam of the first 4 or 5 years yes . The Sam of late no. He couldn't tackle, had too many stupid penaties and got beat alot. Sam it's been great but it's time to move on. No hard feelings bud, but it's a business.

Since he was willing to restructure, he may re-sign at a cheaper price. Honestly, I don't care one way or the other, but having him to compete and add quality depth would be fine by me.

He was a great fin but this move had to be done. Had he restructured, I would have loved for him to stay but I think that we'll be fine at CB. I think we'll get a CB (in FA or the draft) that is more physical and a better tackler than Sam.
