Merged: AJ Feeley brings change/Gotta Love it!

Yet he has confidence in abundance.

"He's very excited that he's getting his opportunity to shine," McMichael said. "He's a cool guy. In the huddle, he's in charge. He makes everybody believe: 'I am the leader, and you're going to follow me to the promised land."'

i like that statement from McMike.

GO FINS!

I saw AJ take charge from the first day he stepped on the practice field in college. He was running a seven on seven drill and was moving running backs and receivers into their correct positions right off the bat. And I mean FIRST DAY as a true freshman. He had all the leadership in the world and, even then, there was no doubt he was the man in charge.

If he hadn't injured his elbow early in the season as a junior, he would have finished VERY high in the national rankings (he was in the top five nationally when his elbow got hurt). As someone else has said, Joey Harrington would have been a benchwarmer until he was a senior if AJ hadn't been injured.

By the way, he was behind Akili Smith (#3 in the draft as a senior) and Jason Maas (Akili's backup but the two-time CFL MVP) as a Freshman and Sophomore at Oregon, so he got virtually no playing time before his first start at Michigan State his Junior year. He just threw for over 300 yards and three TDs that game despite his receivers dropping (by count of the coaches) 11 passes...not a bad first outing.

If you can read between the lines you can see that McMike is happy about the change and he also sad that the switching Qb's back and forth doesn't work in NFL. He definetly is glad to have AJ instead of Jay.

I've been saying it, but some people find it hard to believe, and with reason.

Since Marino, we have not had QB luck.

This kid is a charm, and everytime he has stepped on the field, since the first game of preseason, he does not look like Jay "Fighting for his life to keep his job"

He is very calm and cool back there, and looks to be in charge of what's going on in the field. I know he is unproven, but he won't be for long.
And if you saw him backing up McNabb, you'd know what we got in our roster.
Let the media talk, and bash us. But, what we bring to the plate this year is alot more than just a mediocre team.
I predict 2-2. 1st 4 games, and we take off to a 11-5, 10-6 record @ the worst.;)

I wish AJ would go on this site so he can see how us fans believe in him. That she pump him up some more. His girlfriend and family are going to be in the game so i hope he shows off a little bit.

I know the feeling.

I got some game tapes from an Eagles fan earlier in the offseason and from the very first drive I saw, I could see that he had "it".

It was HIS offense from that moment on and he played with emotion and cool in the perfect balance.

The kid is a gamer and he's going to surprise a LOT of people.

;) Atleast you don't have to close your eyes and prey when ever he throws the ball. You're actually excited about his next shot down the field. And has anyone noticed how good he is on the 2 minute drill. Hmmm.... Kind of reminds me of someone we once, and always will respect @ that same position. This kid is a gamer, and if you don't know??
** You'll simply have to wait and see, while some of us don't have to wait. We just feel it when he's on the field. I knew I wasn't alone about how I felt when Feeley played his 1st drive as a Dolphin. I supported Jay for 4 Yrs, but in my eyes, he got beat on the 1st game of the preseason. :D

I'm with ya man. Watching him in the 2nd half almost made me forget about the loss. He gives me a renewed hope for the season. I don't know why, but I'm almost afraid to get too excited, considering so much has gone wrong this offseason.

Exactly, think about it, last week Feeley got considerably less snaps then Fiedler in practice, and was not nearly as prepared to come in as he will be this week, yet when he came in, all he did was not only out play Fiedler, but throw as many TDs, have a higher comp %, and throw for more yards then the great McNair. If Gordon had not made that mistake on his route, Feeley right now has a QB rating of 100+, and add to that, Because Wanny was unsure of Feeley, I am sure he was making sure to hold him back, and not throw to many high % pass, or deep passes.

This week do not be surprised, if Feeley has a very good game. Gordon should also help out, because the Bengals D is Horrible stopping the run, so they are going to do with Feeley, what they normally do with Fiedler, play the run, and dare Feeley to beat them.

Considering this will be televised, we are going to see 1st hand what kind of an offense we have this year.

McMike's statement speaks VOLUMES. It shows he trusts AJ to get the job done. If any of the other receivers have the same sentiment, this could be the start of something pretty exciting.

;) It's the new generation of Dolphin Football.

If we don't win this year it will be because of our coach.
But, even the players like Chambers are complaining because he doesn't have the sack to play Football!!
At that point I will still be happy because some old Bears Fans tell me, that we won't win until we loose Wanny. He totally destroyed the Bears Franchise. They hate him. That would only mean that DW is not meant to be in this picture, like some dope head we all know don't fit in here either. But, we ladies and gentlemen, are about to witness the turn around for this team.
What I like about Feeley, and it's the real reason why I think Wanny didn't start him to begin with, is that AJ will make a play if he sees it, whether the coaching staff called the play or not. He's got a sack, unlike Mr. Fiedler which is DW's little puppet on strings doing exactly what he's told. You don't play Football like robots with an assignment. Sometimes the play crumbles, and you just have to play straight up street ball out there. That guys is why the Pats have 2 SBs under their belt with Brady. He may not be the best and doesn't really care to be the best, but his coach has enough faith in him, that if he sees an opportunity, he's going to take it. And if he fails, well, you do it again the next time you have the chance...
That is playing to win!!
Not playing "not to loose"
That is Fiedler Football.
;)

You know what's strange, AJ passed for more yards in one half than Bledsoe in the whole game.
We can only pray AJ does well,it would be nice to be competitive and kick some Jet and Pat butt.

Gotta Love it!

There is an article on Sportsline.com about AJ taking over as Starter. Heres a quote from AJ that you gotta love "Feeley believes he ready to be a No. 1 quarterback in the NFL. The Dolphins hope he's right."

Also heres a quote from Randy McMicheal about AJ in the huddle:

"He makes everybody believe: 'I am the leader, and you're going to follow me to the promised land."'

Awesome stuff. We need a guy whos ****y like this. Maybe it can makeup for Wanny's lack there of.
