An article on the Dolphins from Fox Sports...

Now, some parts I disagree with, such as....

Saban is expected to make significant changes because while the Dolphins (8-7) are on their longest winning streak since 1999, the achievement is misleading. None of the victories has come against a playoff-bound team.

Right, beating the team that ended the Colts 13 win streak doesn't count for anything.

Actually I agree with them on this fact. Our 5 game winning streak has been against some of the worst teams in the league.

It will be interesting to see how they play THIS weekend.

Oh so once again those Chargers don't count as anything. Those Chargers are the same Chargers that destroyed the Patriots early in the season. We don't have to beat the Pats to make the winning streak look good. We've had an amazing season and I don't care who we have beaten.

Thank you......

The Chargers win was impressive because the Chargers are a good team. Same goes with the Broncos win. They just need to play more consistent.

Well, it's the truth. Give us all the credit in the world if we end up 9-7, but keep in mind that we'll be picking ahead of other 9-7 teams in the draft for a reason...our schedule was weaker.

But, 9-7 is a heck of a stepping stone to IMPROVE upon, dont ya think?

Facts are facts, we played the bottom dwellers of the NFL on this winning streak. The Chargers aren't any better than us, they just have a better QB. So what, we have a better defense.

We won the game, and I am sure the Chargers were looking past us to the Colts.

You can get all emotional about it, but the logical side of all this tells me we haven't beat anyone of any real quality.

Hey Lance Schulters played well, don't you think? He deserves a contract extension, other players must be cut like Howard

Actually, it is misleading. While most of the teams we've beaten the last five weeks are not playoff teams, we have beaten two division rivals and the Chargers may not be a playoff team this year but they are a very talented team. In the resent past we would have lost the games we won marking the change in the system from top to bottom.

Wins and losses don't always tell the whole story. This is one of the major issues I have with the media at ESPN. They only see and respond to the bottom line (wins/loses). Thats great, but when teams are on the rise or falling like stones wins and losses don't explain squat. Guy's that do their research are the ones I respect. Like Peter King and Michael Irvin. They make their commens based on more then just wins/losses.

Take the records of all the teams we beat and what do you get? Bottom line is we were predicted to win 5-6 games this year and they knew the schedule we already had and it was one of the toughest schedules. We won 8 and possibly 9. This is all sour grapes!

So Denver isn't a quality team? Thats interesting. And don't give me it was Week 1 of the season excuse. They dominated them. Now I am not saying the Dolphins are a great team, but they are a team on the rise and can beat anybody when they play well.

We beat some quality teams this year, Denver, Carolina, San Diego although San Diego won't make playoffs alot of the Fox Sports writers had them as a top 10 team until a few weeks ago. Any division game in my mind goes down as a quality win because those games are just different then others because they are always going to be tight hard fought games.

I don't care what anyone says, it's hard to win in the NFL, and we won 5 in a row. That is good. If it wasn't that big a deal no one would have even noticed. The fact is people did notice and are now thinking up excuses.

So has the Pats', except for the 'flacky' Bucs. Why isn't anyone questioning their winning streak? Why? Because it makes sense not too... Makes for a better storyline in the playoffs... more tension... more RATINGS...

Everybody thinks the Bears are so great right now but they haven't beaten any team that is in the playoffs right now. They beat the Bucs and Panthers but neither are in the playoffs yet. We are playing well and we have also beaten some good teams this year.
