New York Daily News: "The Giants are back in the LaVar Arrington chase, and this time it appears the ex-Redskins linebacker may be serious about striking a deal... According to league sources, his only choices are the Giants, Jaguars, Dolphins and Packers."

He'll be this years Plaxico...if Big lue grabs LA, it will be at a deep discount. Maybe Greenway or Lawson will end up in Miami if this deal goes through?

Last paragraph of the article...

"Meanwhile, the addition of Short, who played for the Giants from 2000-03, should have no impact on their pursuit of Arrington. Short, who plays the strong side, was added mostly for depth. Carolina released Short in early March."

Giants | Short could possibly compete for starting position

Wed, 19 Apr 2006 18:45:20 -0700

Arthur Staple, of Newsday, reports New York Giants by LB Brandon Short was signed to add needed depth at linebacker and possibly compete with LBs Carlos Emmons and Reggie Torbor for a starting job.

Giants | Contract update: B. Short

Wed, 19 Apr 2006 18:41:01 -0700

Arthur Staple, of Newsday, reports the contract signed with the New York Giants by LB Brandon Short was a one-year deal that included a base salary of $585,000.

Short was probably meant to add depth to their LBs and I doubt they would drop out on Arrington because of this signing. If they can work a deal with Arrington then they would most likely get him.

I got a bad feeling about this guys. I keep hearing this Giants rumor everywhere and usually if a rumor is everywhere its true. The Giants r really freakin pissing me off! They r trying to take LaVar and they already took our leftover trash(Madison). What's next? They gonna start a rumor about Ricky getting back on the ganja? Oops, someone already did that. I guess they actually have to think for themselves this time.

yeah I saw that after I had put the post in. oh well there goes arrington......I think NY was his first choice all along. I guess we either go WR, LB OR DB in the 1st round.

in a few hours ur going to hear "Arrington signs with Giants"

Relax dude!!...

They've still got a long way to go before signing him. Did you see the size of that contract he's expecting???....It even states that Arrington will have to lower his demands if they're going to get serious about signing him. They haven't even made him an offer yet....

PHINZ RULE!!!

There is not a long way to go.He will be a Giant soon. They are offering him more cash then we are.We aren't getting him.Get over it everybody!
