MERGED: Bedard's Tuesday blog up

Bedard Blog - Tuesday Night

Saban held an on-field meeting after practice with several of his veteran leaders, including Jason Taylor, Zach Thomas, Junior Seau and Sam Madison. " I guess that’s called the leadership group," Saban said. "From time to time we have issues to discuss which is not for public information. I don’t think it was anything that was national news, just internal family business on the team."

The offense was much more crisp in Tuesday's practice, and caught the eye of coach Nick Saban. "Probably the best we’ve had for maybe the entire camp," he said. "Timing was good. We made some plays down the field which was good. I was really pleased with the way both quarterbacks managed the situation and the circumstances that they were thrown into today. That was very encouraging. Hopefully we can continue to build on that."

That is very good to hear.

Good to see that Nick Saban really respects the veterans of this team as leaders. :)

It just keeps getting better and better. Guys, remember last year when things just kept getting worse and worse at this same time? Seems like its far in the past now!

I love how Saban is organizing this team...seems too organized...does Saban have any relation to the MOB...lol that would be hilarious..." From time to time we have issues to discuss which is not for public information. I don't think it was anything that was national news, just internal family business on the team." -Nick Saban...swear i heard that in the Godfather...all jokes aside i think its great what he doing with the team...aknowledge the Leaders and treatin this team like a family. You mess with Saban you will swim with the Fishes!...lol

wouldnt it seem that if the qbs are fairly equal at this stage, then feeley would have the upper hand since he is still learning the system? just an observation...

I'm loving this! Two postive blogs and two straight days of improvement and progress on the field from most all positions. Yesterday's reports seemed to positive and other than a few slip up's here and there, overall it sounded pretty good, and now tonight, things sounds even better. This is how it should be, second week of practice and things are coming along and improving with each practice/study and film session. These coaches are teaching and coaching and the players seem to be responding with their improved play on the field from practice to practice. It's great to hear a local reporter as well, actually speak in a positive manner about what's going on out there on the field. I cannot wait for Monday to get here, as well as the rest of the games! GO DOLPHINS!

That would indicate he has more "upside" potential...
