The Cincinnati Bengals have announced the team has signed free agent LB Rashad Jeanty (CFL) to a two-year contract. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Jeanty has played the last three seasons for the CFL's Edmonton Eskimos and has not previously signed an NFL contract, so he will be designated as a rookie for the 2006 season.

We were interested him. I think he was afraid he get lost in the shuffle here. Probably felt like he has a better chance to play in Cincy.

Rashad Jeanty signs with Bengals.

I know some were interested in his whereabouts and I didn't see this posted anywhere.

The Bengals have signed free agent linebacker Rashad Jeanty, who has played the last three seasons for the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League.
DD.com comment: Rashad Jeanty, who was a highly regarded high school star (recruited by the Miami Hurricanes), jumped to the CFL at 20 years old after struggling academically at Central Florida.......Jeanty intended to jump to the NFL in 2005, declaring for draft, but went undrafted. After not being picked, he played out his contract in Edmonton, as no NFL team was very eager to buyout the contract of a street free agent.......Clear of his CFL committment, Jeanty had several NFL suitors this winter, including the Dolphins, Jets, Cowboys and Colts. Jeanty may be a fit for the Bengals as a 3-4 outside linebacker.
