Merged: Bennie Anderson RG signed by fins

Buffalo Bills starting RG from last year, i heard he's pretty good but he has a few off the field issues.
 
Cool. Maybe Houck can get more out of him than McNally could, maybe not....

We'll see what happens, but if Houck can get him into playing shape, he could be a very nice addition in the run blocking department. I'd love to see him surprise everyone, and move into the starting RG spot next to Hadnot....

Of course he's "good", the Dolphins signed him. We all know whomever the Dolphins sign is a great pickup and whomever they let go, sucks.
 
I think if Bennie Anderson is your starter at RG you could potentially have some real problems on OL. That's my opinion. Granted, we grabbed Alonzo Ephraim really late in the off season and he ended up starting in place of McKinney for a few games without much trouble...
 
My guess is that he is being brought in to compete with McKinney for the starting RG spot. If that's the case, then I think that RG will be our weak link among the OL this season. Let's all hope that Houck can work his magic with these two because they are gonna need it.

Yup, Buffalo's line was pretty terrible and this is one of their castoffs. I'm not sure what this says about some of the other guys we've been discussing at RG (the board collectively, not you and I). Here's hoping for the best, but not getting my hopes up.

Bennie Anderson played for the Ravens, and then Bills?? he was pretty decent. I remember he was an FA last year and i wanted to sign him...im sure he'll beat out McKinney for the RG spot, hes a solid RG, pretty tall for a RG, hes got the size of a Tackle.
