I'm not sure this guy is the right Character for the Dolphins.
Sounds like another TO. We don't need the distraction. I always had heard good things about him. This is a RED FLAG.

Anquan Boldin even less valuable than previously thought

Not content to just have a screaming match with the offensive coordinator on the sidelines (which landed him on our list of five least valuable people of Championship Sunday), Anquan Boldin carried his hissy-fit to the Arizona Cardinals postgame celebration, too.
While most of the other Cardinals were still on the field being showered in confetti and picking up their NFC Championship trophy, Boldin had already bolted out of the locker room. The behavior prompted CBS's Mike Freeman to call him a naughty word.

He tried to ruin the Super Bowl celebration with his childishness.
In the game, Boldin got into a heated argument with offensive coordinator Todd Haley. After the game, instead of celebrating with his team, Boldin abruptly left the field, then abruptly left the locker room.
It was awful behavior.
[...] I have to say in nearly 20 years of doing this, I've never seen a player more concerned about his arguing with a coach over making a Super Bowl.
I just wonder if Boldin isn't costing himself some money here, too. He doesn't want to be a Cardinal anymore. I think he's made that pretty clear. But who's going to want to give a guy a huge contract when he's fighting with a coach when he should probably be happy about going to a Super Bowl?
Presumably, he's worried about his touches. Meanwhile, the team is going to the Super Bowl. Obviously, Boldin's placing a lot more importance on the former than the latter. Teams are on a character kick these days. It doesn't pay to be a selfish malcontent.
It's disappointing to see from Boldin. He showed such unbelievable selflessness and courage by coming back from a catastrophic injury earlier in the season. Maybe there's more to the story than I know, but looking at at it from the outside, I wouldn't have expected this from Boldin.

:shakeno:

the guy has one incident and your going to compare him to TO?

if this cheapens his price, than that only helps our cause. the cheaper the better.

is the media blowing all this up, or do you actually hear cardinal players and coaches saying this stuff?

Players get heated and will break down some times. That doesn't mean they have character problems. It also doesn't mean he is another TO. Look at Joey Porter, in that Pats game he refused Sparano's call to get off the field. Porter is a loud mouth and has his share of problems, but he doesn't destroy locker rooms like TO. He actually unites them.

I don't think Boldin would be a problem player.

certainly not a way to endear himself to his teammates, fans, coaches,or any NFL team who has him on their radar as a player to ask Arizona about acquiring...but we'll see what happens and how this ends up playing out..

I am with you. Boldin HAS ZERO character issues. His only problem is that Fitzgerald makes 3 times more money than he does.

spin it this way... do you think the cardinals had a better chance of scoring on that last drive with boldin or without?

Had the cardinals NOT scored on that last drive, how many headlines this morning would read about how dumb the cardinals were for not having boldin in there, even if it was to be a mere decoy?

So he wanted to be in the game pretty bad, big deal .. everyone gets a little heated every once in awhile. Whats surprises is me is he's all of a sudden a TO now.. have we heard ANYTHING regarding Boldin acting like this in the past? Nope. Yeah, not celebrating with his team was bitter, but man, this is getting blown way out of proportion.

I didn't say he was TO. I said it sounds like TO. I think If I was going to the Super Bowl, I would be estatic. Not having a temper tantrum. You guys will excuse anything if you think it will get us to a Super Bowl. I have a right to my opnion. I think it is a red flag and distraction. For a team going to the Super Bowl in 2 weeks it is the last thing they need. I don't know the full story but I don't like it.

It could be that he was pissed that he barely had a role in his team winning, which he really wanted to be a part of. I've been like that, I made a bad play in a game and they scored .. we still won, but I didn't talk to anyone afterwards, its just a very bad feeling to not be a huge part in your team's success.

So, let me get this strait. He is justified because he has talent, skill, deserves more touches? The guy who worries more about his stat line than not creating a distraction has got his priorities in the wrong place. I will admit he seems to have a clean reputation. So, why the blow up especially at this time.

Did you have a screaming match with your coaches? Being upset and screaming at your boss is a whole other thing. The real question is would Shula, Parcells, Cowher put up with that crap. Some may excuse it. They probably wouldn't. Enough said.

I think differently about A.Boldin this morning than I did previously. Screaming match with the coach on the sideline is one thing.

...but if what is being reported about him leaving the field and the and the locker room early, while your team is celebrating winning a conference championship and going to the Super Bowl is true, then I have lost respect for him.

At that point, you are making it perfectly clear that your personal gripe is bigger than your team's success. That is very TO-esque if you ask me.

I've seen interviews with Boldin. Trust me.... he's not like that at all.
He just got heated because they weren't using him. It's one thing to
not have balls thrown your way, it's another when your not even out
there on the field. He's a football player.... and a good one at that.
They want to be out there on the field. That's what they do, and I can
understand when players get upset when their not.
