Breaking News: McMichael Plead Guilty to Criminal Tresspassing (Misdemeanor)

DAVIE -- Dolphins tight end Randy McMichael was cleared of two charges at his arraignment Thursday morning, however, in absentia, he pled guilty to criminal trespassing, a misdemeanor, for his role in an altercation with his wife last July.

McMichael, who didn't have to appear at the Columbia County (Ga.) Superior Court hearing, was sentenced to 90 days probation, a $500 fine plus open restitution for any other damages involved in the July 9 incident outside a Waffle House in Grovetown, Ga.

According to the NFL's Personal Conduct Policy, any time a player is "convicted or admitting to a criminal violation,'' he is subject to a fine and/or possible suspension.

All family violence, battery etc charges dismissed, but NFL can still assign a fine or suspension as a penalty for being guilty. No timeframe on the NFL decision.
