[MERGED] CB-Joey Thomas

We have quinten Moses who we picked up 3 rd last year and if he puts on some more need he will be a very good de for us like to see him as a hybrid lb though

he's a quick guy and looks pretty strong by the numbers. even someone that can make some stops on special teams would be a great addition.

this thread is being spoken on way too long, for something that really doesnt mean all that much... this is just the not so much to converse about after the superbowl for a while, since not so much will be going on for a bit.

Is the combine yet? gimme something

We didn't draft Moses. The Raiders drafted him. If we are going to go with anything other than a base 4-3 defense Moses won't be playing DE. He's basically the same size as JT. He's 6'5, 260#. So yeah he would probably be a better fit at OLB.

Punctuation is your friend.

The Dolphins signed him to a deal today. He was one of the final cuts from the Cowboys roster last year. Any news on him?

Beast here guys, let me give you some quick info on Joey.

The guy is fast, but does not have very good technique. He played alot in preseason, but got beat out by Reeves and was released.

Btw, if you guys want Reeves you can have him. He is public enemy #1 here in Texas since it was him and Roy that gave up 4 straight completions to the Giants in the last 45 seconds of the half that resulted in a TD for them.

Thomas was drafted out of Montana State University in the third round of the 2004 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers. While playing a minor role in the Packers defense in his rookie year, his impressive play in the 2005 minicamps had Thomas in prime position to outseat fellow second year corner Ahmad Carroll for the No. 2 cornerback position. He ended up starting one game in Week 2 for the Packers before being relegated to nickleback, as before.
Thomas' play took a severe downturn after the Packers' 2005 bye week. In Week 7 against the Minnesota Vikings, he allowed Minnesota wide receiver Marcus Robinson out of bounds, stopping the clock on a critical last minute Vikings drive that ended up costing the Packers the game. After embarrassing himself by falling down on a play after committing a critical hands to the face penalty against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 8; Thomas was benched and rookie Mike Hawkins took his place. Thomas was later waived by Green Bay on November 2nd, 2005 He was then picked up by the New Orleans Saints on November 3rd, 2005.
