merged:Chambers Has Been Playing With Sprained Thumb For 5 Weeks

I hate to make excuses for him, but.... no wonder he hasn't been catching the ball well.
 
In the past I remember Chambers almost always using his hands to catch the ball... Lately the ball has been thunking off his chest and when he does use his hands...well...ya know. Honestly this makes a lot of sense, but like I said I don't want to make excuses for him.
 
That explains a lot! Hope he heals up fast.
 
i dont think we should start excusing his drops now that he's been dinged up a bit.

if he was really hurt to the point where he couldnt catch well, then he shouldn't play
 
I think he's always been inconsisten and is no different this season

Wow, I'd never thought I'd see the day that Chambers hating becomes the norm here... Oh well, shows ya what a rough season and problems catching the ball will get you.

I don't hate him. At all. Why would I "hate" a man I've never met?

I don't like his performance on the field; and I don't like the fact that for that performance, he gets paid way too much money, which means he straps our ability to pay another receiver the same or more to do what he obviously cannot.

It's that simple. He doesn't perform, I've been saying it for 3 years now, and finally the rest of the fans are catching up to what I was saying during Chambers' 3rd season - that he isn't a #1 WR, and doesn't deserve to paid like one, and that giving him a huge signing bonus would only hurt us down the line - and now it is!

I don't care what anyone says I have always been a Chambers fan and alwasy will be. He has made some of the most difficult catches look easy but I know he has droped some easy ones to. When he makes a outstanding catch everyone loves him but when he drops 1 pass everyone is hating him. And the video that Nublar made of him droping passes some of them where in my eyes uncatchable. Like the one to end the Pats game I don't even think Rice could have caught that one. So in other words "Hi my name is Richard and I'm a Chris Chambers Fan." :lol:

I disagree with u totally but hey u and I have different opinion. But what were u saying when he made that outstanding catch against the Bucs or that one handed TD earlier this season??? So far this year he has been credited for 4 drop balls. The average so far in the NFL for WR.

Worst stat of the year...he dropped four against the Patriots. The site where you got your numbers (I'm assuming STATS) is crap.

If Chambers' excuse is a sore thumb then what is his excuse for YEARS of inconsistency? I don't think he's any different now then he was as a rookie. Well, accept now he is older and more expensive.

He is what he is...
 
Well shoot if this meanc Chambers will get a free pass (even though he has been doing this his whole career) bring back Fiedler.

His torn rotator cuff, bad hips, broken finger, bad back should warrant him another chance I mean after all those all conrtibuted to his bad play.

I am tired of the excuses. If you play that means your injury isn't bad enough to be an excuse. If it is bad enough to be an excuse then you are hurting your team more then helping by being out there.
