MERGED: Cheaters gonna cheat

Looking back on it, several former Patriots coaches insist that spying helped them most against less sophisticated teams -- the Dolphins and Bills chief among them -- whose coaches didn't bother changing their signals.

The cameramen's assignments differed depending on the opponent. For instance, Walsh told investigators that against Indianapolis he was directed to take close-ups of the Colts' offensive signals, then of Peyton Manning's hand signals. Mostly, though, the tapes were of defensive signals. Each video sequence would usually include three shots: the down and distance, the signal, and, as an in-house joke, a tight shot of a cheerleader's top or skirt

During games, Adams sat in the coaches' box, with binoculars and notes of decoded signals, wearing a headset with a direct audio line to Belichick. Whenever Adams saw an opposing coach's signal he recognized, he'd say something like, "Watch for the Two Deep Blitz," and either that information was relayed to Brady or a play designed specifically to exploit the defense was called.

They have won one Superbowl since Spygate and that only happened because every Seattle defensive back was injured or playing with one arm.
 
I have to hand it to Goodell, he maybe a ****bird but he isn't going down without a fight. LOVE how all this new info is being released to run parallel to the deflategate drama, we all benefit from this
 
Patriots should have their team taken away for 10 years.
 
Goodwill should be fired and BB should be barred from the HOF.

This story just affirms what many suspected already. The only reason to destroy the tapes was to protect the Patriots.

Kraft is dirty too. They should look into removing him as owner. He was caught this weekend hob-knobbing with the Judge that killed Brady's suspension at a party. Sorry, he doesn't get the benefit of the doubt. He bought his tarnished dynasty...
 
ESPN is claiming over 90 sources, this HAS to be leaked from up on high to discredit the Patriots and their fight against the league. Kraft really expected quid pro quo again from Goodell and when he didn't get it he decided to throw a tantrum and now he is reaping what he has sown. Karma always wins.
 
What's there to love?

It is pathetic. It was pathetic when it really HAPPENED and was dealt with.

It is beyond pathetic that ESPN do this media slime campaign now.

It seems like it must by Roger doing his best to slime the Patriots now that he lost that trial.

The irony here is, the REAL irony, that the way that Goodell runs his office is basically the EXACT same type of underhanded cheating as what that Patriots have been accused of doing.

He is a former Bill, and many of his people are former jests. They all have axes to grind and have no qualms with getting their hands dirty and constantly leaking stories to ESPN and the press.

This is the same guy who SWORE that he had not seen the Ray Rice video in it's entirety after it had been out in public for months.
 
Nice- outside of NE people are really waking up to what a classless organization that really is.

And how is this for ironic- at the preseason game vs the Panthers I had field passes. The Pats had a staffer standing behind their bench ushering people away and saying "no pictures". Was this during the game? Nope. Organized warmups? Nope. Even before all that. I suppose if you can't be trusted you don't trust people.

these guys were some low ass scumbags they friggin stole the scripted playsheets from locker rooms so much that other teams left fake ones for them to find, which leads credence to Dungy's insinuation that the opposing locker rooms were bugged
