Could this game be Blacked Out?

The Dolphins said "several thousand" tickets remain for the Broncos game. It must be sold out by 1 p.m. Thursday or it will be blacked out locally. The Dolphins will collect relief funds for victims of Hurricane Katrina outside the stadium before the game.
For those who have NFL Sunday ticket, there is a part on the contract which says that all blackouts rules apply . Do you have any info on this. That would really be a knock out for dolfans.

If the game isn't on locally, it won't be on DirecTV in your area.

It is an embarrassment that we don't sell out. I would love to be able to go to every game and those who have the chance, don't. I have tickets to the New Orleans game but unless they play in Baton Rouge, I can't go. Went to the JAX preseason game too. People need to get off their butts and fill that stadium!!

I was suprised by this also! Opening day i would expect a sell out, but hey we did go 4-12 last yr, gas prices up, Katrina etc.. I would expect it will sell out! I live in NY and would collect cans to see my fins play if I could! (BIG StADIUM REMEMBER)

usually when they get fairly close, the network buys out the remaining tickets... or that was always the case... should be on...

Relax people. They always say that there are still tickets left that need to be sold for the game to air.... And just about every time the local Tv station and a local corp. (like Publix) will buy the remaining tix... The game will be on....

There is nothing to be surprised at.We couldn't even sellout a playoff game.Look at our games-The stadium will be empty by the 3rd quarter. It will look like a baseball game going on.Now take a look at the packers-They sellout a preseason game. They pack the stadium and sit through an entire preseason game in the rain. The Dolphins need to look into what the Jags did and cover up most of the seats so that it is considered a sellout.

Every game can be blocked out when it comes to Miami supporting thier team. The city is full of fair weather fans...

Miami fans are like Laker fans. Arrive late, leave early, quiet in the middle!

There is selling out the tickets and then there is selling out the team! There was a fans post earlier that stated-Arrive late and leave early! That is SOOOO true! The Dolphin games sellout because some company has to buy up the remaining tickets! Teams with a REAL home field advantage sellout do to the fans buying up all the tickets and staying the whole game! The Fins true home field advantage is the heat and the few TRUE fin fans who stay the whole game and give everything they have to root for our beloved fins! I have been to a Fins game in miami and have seen the half-hearted fans leave while the TRue -STAY!!!We just need more true fans to make it a real home field advantage!
