according to the 6pm et sportscenter, dolphins would be "shocked" if culpepper isnt ready for TRAINING CAMP. I dont know about you guys but i am extremely happy about this news.

yea im very happy with this news i think that the only way to beat the steelers in week one is if daunte is on the field, but im also confident in joey playing if daunte needs to rest his knee or if he is not quite ready yet

peps ready for training camp.

Shocked if not ready for wk 1 according to Fins official. Not cutting, but rolling out, moving around and throwing. Taking a leadership role.:dolphins:INFO from ESPN.

Wow, that's the best news I've heard all day. It also said he'd already leapt into a leadership role with the Dolphins. Hopefully he'll return to form.

I just hope he comes back at 100%, and knowing saban, he wouldnt let the franchise player come back unless he was at 100%. This gives us a big chance to have that 12-4 or 13-3 season like everyone on this website wants us to have

How can be he already leading without even being in practice yet ? Just curious.

They are human, so they do go out and do things together. Plus, while they are not "practicing", the team still does weight room activites.

hopefully he is ready week 1 being ready for tc is not week 1 just means he is a head of schedule. i mean i knew he would be in tc cause we knew he was doing drill about 75%. so hopefully he is ready week 1 i am praying!

I hope he participates in training camp, but I hope Saban will hold him out of preseason games(if he is cleared to play in them).

idc when he comes back as long as he's 100% we can win w/o him against the steelers w/ harrington and the rest of the games we can win until culpepper gets back, as long as he's here by playoffs time i think well do excelent this year

I watched sportscenter and they said "dolphins insiders would be shocked if culpepper's not ready for week 1"...it was in writing on screen and they said it as well...they definitely sounded encouraging just one day after NFL Live said they don't think culpepper would be playing until week 8

:ffic:like i said before, he's a little pissed plus he'd have a better o-line in miami than he did in detroit, add a little talent and we'll be aaight with joey while pepper heals up.

The thing is, NFL Live was basing it off their opinions and the average length it takes for someone to recover from this injury. They had no real inside sources, just their gut feelings.

To actually get news like this from a Dolphins insider, is very good. Is it guaranteed he will start week 1? Heck no, but right now he seems on pace for it.

Reportedly, last week the vets had off...well, Culpepper took aside most of the WR's & TE's and worked with them; probably just regular passing drills but still. That guy Smith or whatever his name is...he said someone in the Dolphins ORGANIZATION told stated they'd be surprised if he's not ready for Training Camp, much less week 1. That's amazing news.
