Jerry McDonald of the Oakland Tribune is reporting that the Raiders are expected to sign QB Daunte Culpepper.

If true, Culpepper would join Josh McCown and Andrew Walter, who have been splitting reps with the first team while JaMarcus Russell holds out. Culpepper would have to prove he's healthy to have a legitimate shot at playing time, and his most likely role remains as a backup.

We may have to face him on September 30th. Should be fun.
 
Even if the Raiders sign him I dont think he will be healthy enough. Reports are Culpepper is not fully recovered. If he signs it is only to have him as camp folder....
 
Duante will just be an Arm, he is still injured and would still require to pass a physical.
 
The Raiders will finally get their Captain, Captain One-Leg. LoL
 
just think , if culpepper and sage and greise each plays against us this year and they have a strong perfomance againts us the dolphins will have two black eyes for letting these great qbs go. ( ok , just ribbing you guys) but if culpepper tourches our defense and then sage should he bounce up and play against us there will be a mass exodous of phin fans saying we should have listened to maverick.

i wish culpepper well but it is time to vamoose down the hiway and start a new chapter in dolphin history.
 
If he does clear a physical and starts practicing with Oakland fully without limitations to where it is reasonable to expect him to start this year, then I'll gladly start accepting some bets as to which QB will do better between Culpepper and Harrington.
