Culpepper trade in the works.....

Daunte Culpepper was escorted off the field at Dolphins practice by the team's director of security.
That would indicate Culpepper has likely been traded or released. The most likely destination is Jacksonville, and we are hearing rumors that a trade is near, but we cannot get additional confirmation at this time. Any trade would have to wait for Culpepper to pass a physical, so official word may not come for some time.

I wonder if there is a trade who is the team...... Maybe he was pulled of the field to rework his contract.

no one seems to remember Mike Martz saying he wouldn't want Daunte when we interviewed him for the head coaching job... i doubt hed go to detroit with Martz there...

Wow, there was no action on Dolphins football for weeks and now that the trade for Trent Green has transpired things are happening right and left. If he was indeed released it's kind of sad in a way. If you think about how much he probably wanted to show Minny that they made a mistake in trading him and how much he really wants to be out there it stinks for him. I wish him all the best.

Maybe we can trade him to the Browns so he can mentor Quinn:evil:

Too much speculation at this point. Lets give it a minute for some facts to come out.

I thought they were convinced that Kitna would start this season. He's coming off a 4,000 yard season and they now have Stanton waiting in the wings. I don't see it happening.
What about the Browns? They could use a vet quarterback and maybe trade Frye somewhere?

Wherever he goes the most we get at best is like a conditional 6th..

A conditional 6th would be great. I'm still having trouble believing Culpepper has any trade value at all at this point.

Strangely enough, the team that could use a veteran QB the most is Daunte's OLD team ... the Vikings. All they have now is an unproven 2nd year guy, Tavaris Jackson. That would be plenty strange if they brought Daunte back. I don't think the fans would like it too much though. I don't think Daunte would be too wild about it either.

yea but the thought of daunte's long ball with the receivers they have in detroit will keep the speculation going, as servicable as kitna was last year, mike marx might be tempted by daunte's deep ball abilities with that offense

Adam Best from realfootball365.com writes that "Unless another team steps up its interest in Culpepper, or the Lions really are serious about trading for him, expect the Dolphins to cut the one-time Pro Bowler relatively soon."

The FO has to be working on something. Otherwise C-Pep would have already been released.

he's a 3 time pro bowler. I love when journalists cant get it straight. Losers

Speculation: Culpepper to Jaguars, according to source

FFChamps.com is reporting that the Dolphins and Jags have reached a deal for Culpepper, pending a physical. It's for an "undisclosed consideration."

Link to FF Champs.

Edit: I don't know why this got moved. This isn't a possibility. This is breaking news being reported by the website that Daunte has been traded, pending a physical. This is actual news, just so you all know.
