Merged: Dolphins Pursuing Javon Walker!

I think we should add another WR for depth, someone who can play behind Chambers and Booker. We don't need another big name receiver (I'm not sure he even is worth what he is making).
 
Basically we'd have to trade out of the 1st round and take G.B.'s early 2nd rounder is my guess. It's really not THAT bad of an idea, because that's a good spot to get whoever slipped out of the 1st like Nick Mangold, Ashton Youboty.

If we could get Jevon Walker that would be tremendous. But I think you're right, Walker is going to want more then #1 money and we can't afford that in our current situation. Not to mention it would include selling the farm to GB.
 
anything but our first rounder this year and I would jump on top of that... or maybe a 2nd next year. Javon is an elite WR and we could afford to pay him some dinero since we missed out on LA..

Still playing for under a million a year he was going to sit out last year for a new contract favre talked him out of it then he got hurt at the beginning of the season still no new contract. Who ever gets him he is going to want a new contract with big numbers I dont think anyone is going to meet the packers price it will be another harrington situation who ever can get him signed to a new deal will get the trade if any...
 
We pay Booker 3m a year so it'll probably be another few million.
 
I'd prefer Booker over Walker anyway. We just need some depth with Az-Hakim or whatever that guy is, another FA or a draft pick.
 
I'd like to get him but it will never happen. He's not the type of player Nick has an interest in. We'd have to give up our 1st to get him, but if we got their 2nd in return, that wouldn't be a bad deal, but I think Denver has more ammo to offer them and he'd probably be their #1 guy. He wouldn't be down here and I don't think his ego could handle it. Make a reasonable offer and move on if they are not interested.
 
on espn they said they want a first for walker. too much for a guy with that knee injury maybe a 3rd or 4th. we wont get him.
 
Well we'd be giving them a 1st however they'll have to give their 2nd rounder to make it happen.
