sounds like Cleon Laing has signed a contact with the NFL's Miami Dolphins @cfl @TorontoArgos

After this move, does anyone know where I can bet on the Dolphins winning the Superbowl? I'm sold now

Laing is a 6-3, 280-pound D-lineman from Iowa State. Had eight sacks for Toronto in 2015.

Need to run out and get my custom Laing jersey

It may be easy to dismiss some of these CFL players as scrubs, but there is no harm in taking a look at him and giving him an opportunity to compete.
Cam Wake was once a CFL player looking for an NFL opportunity and that turned out to be one of Ireland's very best decisions.
Warm Dolphin welcome to Cleon. Show us what you can do.

Cleyon Laing is not just another CFL player, but he's not Cam Wake either. In the CFL, he's actually a pretty good homegrown (Canadian born and raised) player. Good size (for the CFL), plays with leverage, strength and a mean streak - a bit like Suh in fact. Eight sacks last year, so very productive for a DT. Having said that, he is a long way from being productive in the NFL - he will definitely have to bulk up from his 280 pounds to play the interior with us (he's too slow and lacks the length to be a DE), and even though he stood up well to double teams in the CFL, I have doubts about him being able to do that against NFL linemen. I view him as a longshot - might make the team as a 4th DT, but I doubt it. No harm in trying him though.
