Summary.
Wilkinson because the Fins dont think Vickerson or Wright are ready.

Edwards ibecause ex Saints newcomer Sedrick Hodge hasn't wowed anybody.
 
id love to get both of them...both can contribute to our team tremendously...

i honestly think we could get Edwards here just because he is good friends with Zach Thomas...cause i remember during that pro bowl that they both were in together they hung out the whole time..including an intro to Madden 2004 i believe

How old is this guy? he played great last year i know that.What these people can't afford him or because they got merriman and he suprized everyone.
 
good vet backups. good leadership/pseudo-coaches on the practice field.

I'm fine with either or both, but would also like to see Ahmad drafted to balance the vet/youth balance.

I would just like to know where they get the info on Hodge, Wright and Vickerson. I wonder if it's just the reporters opinion because Saban isn't talking about them. I'm not sure, but one thing Saban has made clear to everyone is that the reporters aren't allowed into the facility except on a limited basis. I just question statements like this one because I don't think the reporter knows where those players stand. I think he's just speculating because Saban has interest in bringing in other players at those positions. JMO.
 
Donnie Edwards would be quit a coup de grace. He is 33 but his production has not slipped. Its a salary cap move for the Chiefs to let him walk. He is probably the best defender on a maligned D.
 
Hope we get one or both of them, could use both. So glad Saban & co. are out there still looking for more upgrades!

Great news. I'd love to have them both, especially Edwards. He, along with Zach and Crowder would be nasty / sweet as hell!!!!....
